The WM-1227 takes parallel twin cable — the bonded two-conductor cord used for speakers, LED feeds and appliance leads — and multi-pin flat cable up to 12 pins, and cuts, splits and strips it in one automatic cycle. Conductors run 0.1 to 10 mm² each, cutting length 1 to 99,999.9 mm at a 0.002 × L tolerance, and the split runs 0.1 to 150 mm back from the end. Head stripping reaches 25 mm and tail stripping 80 mm, with up to 15 middle-strip sections per piece, at 3,000 to 8,000 pieces per hour from a 400 × 300 × 330 mm, 40 kg head.

Not suited for: flat cable thicker or wider than the 3 × 20 mm conduit, heavy flat power cable, round sheathed cable, or work that ends with a terminal on every conductor. WM-1227 — common questions

What is the difference between splitting and stripping on this machine?

Splitting cuts the thin insulation web that bonds the conductors side by side, so each conductor becomes a free tail — on the WM-1227 that split runs 0.1 to 150 mm back from the end. Stripping then removes insulation from those tails, 25 mm at the head and up to 80 mm at the tail. Both happen in the same cycle, along with the cut to length.

How wide a cable fits, and how many conductors?

The limit is the guide conduit, which is 3 × 20 mm, and the machine slits 2 to 12 pins. Each conductor can be 0.1 to 10 mm². Send us your cable cross-section and we will check it against the conduit before you order, because a cable thicker than 3 mm will not pass however few conductors it has.

What is middle stripping used for here?

It opens a window of insulation somewhere along the cable instead of at an end — up to 15 sections on one piece. Harness builders use it for mid-span taps, splices and connectors that land partway down a run, which otherwise means a second hand operation with a knife.

Do the published dimensions include the stand and the conveyor?

No. The 400 × 300 × 330 mm and 40 kg figures are the processing head as rated by the factory. The aluminium worktable stand and the belt take-away conveyor shown in the photos are separate structures that carry the head and receive the finished pieces — tell us your bench height and the cut length you run and we will confirm the footprint of the complete line at quotation.

How many pieces per hour will I actually get?

The rating is 3,000 to 8,000 pieces per hour. The high end belongs to short pieces with a short split and no middle strip; long cuts, a 150 mm split and several middle-strip sections all pull the rate down because the feed moves more cable and the head cycles more times per piece.
