Two-Wire Cutting and Stripping Machine for Paired Leads up to 6 mm² WM-186

CE Certified HS Code 8463.90 ≤6 mm²

The WM-186 cuts and strips two wires side by side in one pass, doubling output from a single benchtop footprint. It covers wire up to 6 mm² — PVC, Teflon and glass-fiber insulated types — with programs set on an LCD that switches between English and Chinese. Adjustable roller straighteners feed both wires in parallel, and head and tail strip lengths are dialed in per program. It runs on AC 220/110 V, 50/60 Hz, and takes optional wire trays, rubber rollers and straighteners for coiled stock.

Key features

  • Two wires feed in parallel through one blade set, so every cycle delivers two finished pieces — twice the shift output of a single-wire benchtop machine in the same floor space
  • Covers hookup and harness wire up to 6 mm² in PVC, Teflon and glass-fiber insulation, so signal leads and small power leads run on the same machine
  • LCD control switches between English and Chinese — cut length, head and tail strip windows and batch counts are all set on screen, no mechanical stops to re-shim
  • Roller straightener wheels ahead of the feed keep both wires tracking straight from coils, holding strip windows consistent across a full reel

What it processes

  • Paired red-black battery and LED leads cut and stripped two at a time
  • Appliance, fan and lighting factories processing matched wire pairs to identical length
  • Harness shops running PVC, Teflon and glass-fiber insulated hookup wire in volume

Suited for: high-volume cutting and stripping of paired leads up to 6 mm² — PVC, Teflon and glass-fiber insulated hookup wire, produced two pieces per cycle from coiled stock. Not suited for: twisting, tinning or terminating after the strip — for those, pick the WM-462 five-wire stripping, tinning and crimping machine, which twists, tins and crimps AWG 16–30 leads in the same pass — or jacketed multi-core cable, which runs on the WM-168HT multi-core cut and strip machine. If the two leads arrive bonded side by side as parallel twin cord rather than as two loose wires, they have to be split before they can be stripped — that is the WM-1227 parallel twin cable splitting and stripping machine, which splits 0.1–150 mm and handles 2–12 pin flat cable at 0.1–10 mm² per core.

Unusual insulations can be verified against your sample: send 2–3 meters of each wire and we run them on this machine on video before you commit.

WM-186 — common questions

How does two-wire processing actually double output?

Both wires run through the straightener, feed rollers and blades side by side, and the machine cuts and strips them in the same stroke. Every cycle produces two pieces with identical length and strip settings, so hourly output is double that of the same mechanism fed with one wire — with one operator and one bench slot.

Will it strip Teflon and glass-fiber insulation cleanly?

Yes — the factory rates it for PVC cable, Teflon cable and glass-fiber wire up to 6 mm². Blade depth and strip length are set digitally on the LCD rather than by feel, which is what slippery PTFE and abrasive glass braid need. For unusual jackets we run your sample on camera before you order.

Can it twist the stripped ends or apply terminals?

No — the WM-186 is the plain cut-and-strip configuration with no twisting or crimping stations. If your process needs twisted ends or multi-core jacketed cable handling, the wire cutting and stripping machines category includes twisting-capable and multi-core models.
