Multi-Core Sheathed Cable Cutting and Stripping Machine for 2–8 Core Cable WM-168HT

CE Certified HS Code 8463.90 Φ3–10 mm, 2–8 cores 1,100 pcs/h

The WM-168HT processes round sheathed cable from Φ3 to Φ10 mm with 2 to 8 inner cores — cut to length, outer jacket stripped up to 250 mm on side A and 70 mm on side B, and every inner core stripped up to 15 mm at both ends, all in one automatic cycle. A 12-wheel belt feeder moves the cable, blades in Japanese tungsten steel or Swedish high-speed steel land with 0.01 mm stripping accuracy, and output reaches 1,100 pieces per hour at 500 mm. Jobs store as programs 00–99 on the 7-inch touchscreen; wire presence detection halts empty cycles.

Key features

  • One cycle replaces two stations — jacket stripping and inner-core stripping happen in the same pass, so cordage leaves the machine termination-ready instead of queuing at a benchtop stripper
  • Covers the everyday cordage range of Φ3–10 mm with 2 to 8 cores, from two-core lamp cord to eight-core control cable
  • Wire presence detection stops the cycle when the cable runs out, so batch counts stay honest and blades never cycle empty
  • One hundred stored programs recall a full parameter set by number — repeat orders restart in seconds, not after a re-teach

What it processes

  • Power cord and plug factories preparing 2–3 core mains cable for crimping
  • Appliance and white-goods plants processing multi-core hookup and control cable
  • Panel and equipment builders cutting sensor and signal cordage to kitted lengths

Suited for: round sheathed cordage from Φ3 to Φ10 mm with 2–8 cores — mains cable, appliance leads and control cable that need jacket plus core stripping in one automatic pass. Not suited for: braided or foil-shielded constructions, or single conductors above Φ10 mm — for shielded cable, pick the WM-184X rotary blade cutting and stripping machine, built to cut and strip braided and shielded jackets up to Φ18 mm; bigger single conductors belong with the other wire cutting and stripping machines. Cordage below Φ3 mm, core strips longer than 15 mm, or a bench footprint instead of a 120 kg floor machine point to the WM-1223 multi-core sheathed cable cutting and stripping machine — Φ2–10 mm over the same 2–8 cores, 20 mm core strip at both ends, 53 kg.

Sheath compounds and core lay vary between cable makers: send 2–3 meters of your actual cable and we run it on this machine on video before you commit.

WM-168HT — common questions

What does the WM-168HT do to each cable end?

On side A it strips the outer sheath up to 250 mm and each inner core up to 15 mm; on side B the sheath window is up to 70 mm with the same 15 mm core strip. Blade landing repeats within 0.01 mm, so core insulation stays intact while the copper comes out clean.

How fast is a typical changeover between cable types?

Parameters live in program slots 00–99 on the touchscreen. Switching from a finished order back to a repeat job is a program recall plus a guide change for the new diameter — the 12-wheel belt feeder itself adjusts to cable from Φ3 to Φ10 mm. Long pieces run out over the output conveyor shown in the photos.

Can it strip coaxial or shielded cable with braid and foil layers?

No — its blades separate jacket and solid-color cores, not braided shields or foil wraps. Layered coax and shielded lines need the rotary-blade machines in the coaxial cable processing category.
