Prepare exposed cable braid for the next connection: brush the strands open, trim the shield to length, fold it back over the jacket, or gather a shield end. We supply dedicated braid brushing stations, pneumatic shield cutters, electrode braid removal and combined strip-and-fold equipment for high-voltage cable. These operations follow different paths from concentric coaxial stripping. Choose the required finished shield shape first, then match cable diameter, exposed length and braid construction. Once the jacket is off, the braid has to be opened, trimmed to length and either folded back over the jacket or gathered for a drain connection. The WM-821 brushes wound and braided shields open at a bench; the WM-819 runs twin brush tracks for conductors up to 100 mm²; The WM-192 cuts the shield to length on OD 3–16 mm, and the WM-181 brushes, trims and folds OD 3–9 mm wire back in one station at 700–1,000 pcs/h. For high-voltage EV cable, the WM-199 strips 2.5–150 mm² and folds the shield in the same ≤15 s cycle. Send your terminated sample and we match the station to the fold you need.
A brushed-open braid, a cut shield edge and a folded-back shield are different finished conditions. Include the connector drawing and a photo of the accepted end so we can match the operation and demonstrate the result. WM-819 and WM-821 are dedicated braid brushing stations. WM-181 combines brushing, cutting and fold-back. We check the braid construction and exposed length on your cable before recommending the station.
