Coaxial and multi-layer cable stripping machines remove concentric layers to defined diameters and lengths. Our range includes precision bench strippers for micro-coax, larger rotary stripping heads for shielded and EV charging cable, and automatic cutting and stripping for short coaxial leads and longer braided or shielded cable. Choose by the cable outer diameter, layer construction, required strip lengths and whether the cable must also be cut to length. An ordinary cut-and-strip machine closes two blades on the wire and pulls. On coax that flattens the dielectric and nicks the braid. These machines rotate the blade around the cable and cut to a set depth — jacket, braid, foil and dielectric each removed at its own diameter, up to 9 layers, with depth and length both settable in 0.01 mm steps. That resolution is the whole point: on RG178 the difference between cutting the braid and cutting the centre conductor is a few hundredths of a millimetre.
We select by cable construction, diameter and the required cut and strip lengths together. Micro-coax and thin RF: our WM-2106A strips pre-cut Ø0.81–7 mm cable to 47 mm strip length. Automatic cut and strip: our WM-2506D cuts Ø1–6 mm coax into 15–250 mm pieces, with maximum strip lengths of 30 mm left and 50 mm right. Our WM-184X cuts and rotary-strips braided and shielded cable of 0.75–30 mm², up to Ø18 mm; its cutting range is 120–999,999.99 mm, with total length greater than 120 mm required for stripping. Both prepare cable for subsequent connector assembly. Mid-range end stripping: our WM-2208 takes Ø1.5–18 mm including corrugated and new-energy cable, up to 90 mm strip; our WM-2320 covers Ø2.0–23 mm to 200 mm. Heavy end stripping: our WM-2420 handles EV charging gun cable at Ø6–40 mm, 9 layers, 200 mm. For connector preparation, our WM-173 crimps IPEX connectors onto micro-coax at 1,000–1,300 pcs/h, and our WM-819 brushes braid open on conductors up to 100 mm² before termination.
For exposed braid, go directly to shield brushing, cutting and folding. For IPEX termination, use crimping and connector assembly. Each process has its own machine selection, even when it handles the same coaxial cable.

Each pass removes one concentric layer at its own diameter and length — jacket, braid, foil, dielectric, and so on inward. Programming nine layers means the machine can step through that stack in one clamping, each with depth and length set to 0.01 mm, instead of an operator re-fixturing between cuts. The WM-2106A, WM-2320 and WM-2420 all publish 9 layers.
The WM-2420 — Ø6 to Ø40 mm, 9 layers, up to 200 mm stripping length, with a rotary head sized for that jacket thickness. The WM-2208 also lists new-energy cable within Ø1.5–18 mm if your cable is at the smaller end.
Yes. Our WM-2506D cuts 15–250 mm pieces of Ø1–6 mm coaxial cable and strips both ends. Our WM-184X cuts and rotary-strips braided and shielded cable of 0.75–30 mm², up to Ø18 mm; its cutting range is 120–999,999.99 mm, with total length greater than 120 mm required for stripping. Two things: rotary cutting rather than pinching, and depth resolution fine enough to matter — these machines set cut depth in 0.01 mm increments. Beyond that it is proving it on your cable: send 2–3 meters and we strip it on the machine on video, so you see the braid open and the conductor intact before you order.
Cable type and construction (how many layers, and what each is), outer diameter, the strip lengths you need per layer, whether the cable arrives on a reel or pre-cut, and your target pieces per hour. Then courier 2–3 meters of the actual cable.
