Heavy-Duty Rotary Stripping Machine for 6–40 mm EV Charging Gun and Shielded Cable WM-2420
The WM-2420 strips large-diameter shielded cable from Ø6 to Ø40 mm — new-energy EV charging-gun cable is its specified job — in up to 9 programmable layers with strip lengths to 200 mm, set in 0.01 mm steps. A tungsten-steel rotary blade, a 1,000 W drive and a 150 kg frame handle jackets and tinned-copper braid that no benchtop coax stripper can clamp.

Key features
- Ø6–40 mm capacity takes EV charging-gun cable, thick shielded new-energy leads and large feeder coax in one machine
- Layered programs open the rubber jacket and the tinned-copper shield braid in separate 0.01 mm-depth steps — the orange charging-cable samples in the gallery show the result
- Heavy segmented clamp stack grips thick elastic jackets on axis, so the rotary blade cuts a true circle instead of following a squashed cable
- 1,000 W drive and a 150 kg frame built for continuous thick-cable duty, not occasional one-off strips
What it processes
- EV charging-gun cable ends prepared for contact crimping and shield termination
- High-voltage shielded cable in new-energy vehicle and charging-station manufacturing
- Large shielded power and feeder cable up to Ø40 mm needing stepped multi-layer ends
Suited for: the thick end of the shielded-cable world — EV charging-gun cable, new-energy HV leads and feeder cable from Ø6 to Ø40 mm, stripped in up to 9 layers with windows to 200 mm, jacket and tinned-copper braid each at its own depth. Not suited for: anything below Ø6 mm or cutting to length. For smaller diameters step down to the WM-2320 (Ø2–23 mm), and below that the WM-2208 and WM-2106A cover coax down to Ø0.81 mm.
Charging-gun cable varies a lot between makers — send us 2–3 meters of yours and we strip it on this machine on camera, so you see the braid condition on video before you order.

WM-2420 — common questions
What can the WM-2420 not do?
Three things people ask for. It does not cut cable to length — it strips prepared ends only. It does not go below Ø6 mm, so RG jumpers and micro-coax belong on the smaller rotary strippers in our coaxial cable processing range. And it does not strip beyond 200 mm in one cycle. If your job fits Ø6–40 mm ends, it is the right machine; otherwise tell us the cable and we will point you at the right one.
Can it expose the shield braid of charging-gun cable without cutting into it?
That is what the layered depth control is for — the jacket layer is cut at one depth and stripped, then the braid is left standing or opened at its own programmed depth, in 0.01 mm steps. The gallery photos of the orange cable with intact tinned braid are its own output. Blade depth is verified on a trial piece when your cable is first programmed.
Is it a benchtop machine?
No — at 150 kg and 1,160 × 280 × 550 mm it needs a solid machine stand or heavy workbench and its own station in the line. Plan lifting equipment for installation; once placed, one operator runs it.
