Automatic Cable Cut and Strip Machine with 50-Segment Middle Stripping WM-190
The WM-190 cuts wire and cable from 0.75 to 30 mm² and opens bare-conductor windows in the middle of the run — up to 50 windows per piece at any interval and any length, or an unlimited number when the interval and length repeat. A third servo axis drives the rotary knife, so shielded and multi-layer cable is scored on a full circle instead of two flats. Sixteen belt-driven wheels feed cable up to Φ18 mm without embossing, holding cut lengths from 1 to 999,999.99 mm within 0.002 × L at up to 3,500 pieces per hour, programmed on a 7-inch interface in a 68 × 48 × 55 cm cabinet.

Suited for: cut-to-length wire and cable from 0.75 to 30 mm² (up to Φ18 mm) that has to leave the machine with both ends stripped and up to 50 bare windows opened along the middle, including shielded and multi-layer jackets. Not suited for: plain cut-and-strip work with no mid-span window — that runs cheaper on the WM-164 cable cutting and stripping machine, the same 0.75–30 mm² platform at the same 3,500 pcs/hour without the middle-stripping knife. Windows opened on pieces you have already cut belong on the WM-185 semi-automatic middle stripping machine, a 700–900 pcs/hour die station with no feeding or cutting at all. Multi-core sheathed cable that needs the jacket and the inner cores stripped in one pass runs on the WM-1130HZ multi-core cut and strip machine covering 6–30 mm² jackets, and anything heavier than 30 mm² goes to the WM-1450 thick cable machine at 10–150 mm².

WM-190 — common questions
How many mid-span windows can one piece carry?
Up to 50 windows when each interval and each window length is set individually. If the pitch and the window length repeat all the way down the piece, the count is unlimited — you program the pattern once and the machine repeats it for the whole cut length, which is how lighting strings and busbar taps are usually run.
How does this compare with the WM-174Z middle stripping machine?
Same idea, larger envelope. The WM-190 programs 50 windows against 32, covers 0.75–30 mm² against 1–30 mm², passes Φ18 mm against Φ16 mm, and runs 3,500 pcs/hour against 2,000. The WM-174Z keeps one advantage worth knowing about — its half-strip reaches 9,999 mm on both ends, where the WM-190 half-strips to 1,500 mm on side A and 300 mm on side B. Long half-strips favour the WM-174Z; segment count, throughput and shielded cable favour the WM-190.
What if my job never needs a mid-span window?
Then you are paying for a knife axis you will not use. The WM-164 is the same platform without the middle-stripping function — identical 0.75–30 mm² range, identical Φ18 mm pass, identical 3,500 pcs/hour and the same 68 × 48 × 55 cm footprint — so it is the cheaper machine for plain cut-and-strip work.
Will it handle my shielded cable?
The source data lists shielded wire, multi-layer cable and PVC cable within the 0.75–30 mm² range, but braid density and jacket hardness vary too much to answer from a datasheet. Send us 2–3 meters of the actual cable with your window positions — we run it on this machine and send you the trial video before you commit to the order.
