Thick Cable Cutting and Stripping Machine for 10–150 mm² Power Cable WM-1450
The WM-1450 cuts and strips thick power cable from 10 to 150 mm² — the class of wire used in EV charging guns, battery packs and energy-storage harnesses. Thirty-two belt-drive wheels feed cable up to Φ30 mm without marking the jacket, cut to any length from 1 to 99,999.99 mm at ±0.2% (0.002×L), and strip up to 500 mm at the head and 300 mm at the tail. Full-servo drive delivers up to 1,800 pieces per hour, programmed on a 7-inch touchscreen.

Key features
- Built for hard-to-strip thick cable — new-energy charging gun cable, battery cable and welding-class jackets
- 32-wheel belt feeding grips heavy cable firmly with no indentation marks on the jacket
- Full-servo drive with axial blade positioning keeps ±0.2% length tolerance on cable up to 150 mm²
- Extendable into a line — material holding clamp, feeding robot and wire collecting holder available as options
What it processes
- EV charging gun cable and high-voltage battery harness prefabrication (10–150 mm²)
- Energy storage systems, switchgear and industrial power distribution assemblies
- Cable factories cutting thick flexible cable to length with fully stripped ends
Suited for: thick, hard-to-strip power cable — EV charging gun cable, battery and energy-storage harness wire, welding-class flexible cable from 10 to 150 mm² (up to Φ30 mm OD). Not suited for: thin hookup wire below 10 mm² — for that, pick the WM-167 benchtop cut and strip machine, which covers 0.1–10 mm² at higher piece rates. Also not the machine if the cable is thicker than Φ30 mm, or if you only need it severed and not stripped — a plain cut-off station is cheaper and takes bigger cable, see the WM-1221 pneumatic thick cable cutting machine (under 160 mm², up to Φ40 mm, cutting only). And if the job is mostly cut-to-length across mixed material — wire, flat cable, soft copper busbar, sheath tube and PVC hose — with only the leading end stripped, the WM-1222 automatic cable cutting machine covers 1–150 mm² up to Φ33 mm with front stripping to 800 mm.
Special cables can be customized against your sample: send 2–3 meters of your actual cable and we run it on this machine on video before you commit. See how this machine fits an EV wire harness line.

WM-1450 — common questions
What is the largest cable the WM-1450 can process?
Conductor cross-sections from 10 to 150 mm² with outer diameter up to Φ30 mm. Head stripping reaches 500 mm and tail stripping 300 mm — long enough for busbar lugs and charging-gun terminations.
Will the feed wheels mark soft silicone or TPU jackets?
Feeding is by flat belts across 32 drive wheels instead of pinch rollers, so the clamping force spreads over a long contact area and leaves no indentation — this matters on soft new-energy cable jackets. For unusual jackets, send us a 2–3 meter sample and we run it on camera before you order.
What utilities does it need?
110/220 VAC (2,500 W, 12 A full load) plus clean compressed air at 0.5–0.8 MPa. It is a floor-standing machine at 147 × 76 × 134 cm — plan roughly 2 × 1.5 m of floor space with feeding clearance.
