The WM-167 is a 36 kg benchtop machine that cuts and strips single-core wire from 0.1 to 10 mm² (AWG 32 to AWG 7) at 3,000 to 8,000 pieces per hour on 100 mm wires. It cuts from 1 to 9,999 mm at a tolerance of 0.2 ± 0.002×L mm, strips up to 80 mm at head and tail, and opens up to 16 middle-strip windows per wire for grounding and daisy-chain jumpers. Running on 220/110 V at 500 W with no compressed air, it fits a 390 × 350 × 255 mm bench corner next to the crimping station.

WM-167 — common questions

What is middle stripping used for?

The machine can open up to 16 windows of bare conductor along a single wire without cutting it. Those windows become solder or crimp points for grounding combs, LED chains and daisy-chained connectors — work that is slow and inconsistent with a hand knife.

What utilities does it need on the bench?

Only mains power — 220 or 110 V at 500 W. There is no pneumatic circuit, so no compressor or air prep. At 36 kg and 390 × 350 × 255 mm it sits on a standard workbench next to the crimping station.

Can it strip multi-core or sheathed cable jackets?

No — it processes one insulation layer on single-core wire up to 10 mm². For round sheathed cable over the same 0.1–10 mm² conductor range, the WM-1228 round sheathed cable cut and strip machine takes the outer jacket off both ends through a Φ13 mm conduit and strips to 150 mm rather than 80 mm. If the jacket *and* the inner cores both need stripping in one cycle, use the multi-core capable cut and strip machines in this category.
