Flat Cable Cutting, Slitting and Stripping Machine for 10–120 mm² Multi-Pin Ribbon Cable WM-161PX
The WM-161PX turns flat multi-pin power cable into finished jumpers in one pass — it cuts to length, slits the web between conductors and strips every end, replacing three manual bench jobs. It handles flat sheathed and PVC cable from 10 to 120 mm², cutting 1 to 99,999.99 mm at ±0.2% (0.002×L). Head stripping fully pulls off RV cores up to 120 mm and sheathed jackets up to 500 mm; tail stripping reaches 260 mm. Thirty-two belt-drive wheels feed cable up to Φ30 mm without indentation at up to 1,800 pieces per hour.

Key features
- One pass replaces three bench operations — the machine cuts flat multi-pin cable to length, slits the conductors apart and strips each end without extra handling
- 32-wheel belt feeding spreads clamping force along the cable so soft flat jackets pass through free of indentation marks
- Full pull-off stripping reaches 500 mm on sheathed jackets, leaving ends long enough for lugs and busbar terminations
- Silent hybrid stepper feed with a servo tool holder holds ±0.2% length tolerance from 1 mm up to 99,999.99 mm
What it processes
- Solar combiner boxes, inverters and battery banks wired with flat multi-core power cable
- Panel and switchgear builders prefabricating ribbon power jumpers to exact length
- Harness shops replacing manual knife work on flat sheathed cable up to 120 mm²
Suited for: flat multi-pin sheathed and PVC power cable from 10 to 120 mm² (up to Φ30 mm through the guide) that needs cutting, conductor slitting and stripping in one automated pass. Not suited for: round single-core hookup wire or thin signal ribbon — for signal-class flat cable, pick the WM-1220 flat ribbon cable cutting and stripping machine, which takes 2- to 12-pin cable through a 22 × 2.8 mm flat channel at 3,000–5,000 pieces per hour, or the WM-1227 parallel twin cable splitting and stripping machine for parallel twin cord and 2–12 pin flat cable of 0.1–10 mm² per core; for round wire, pick the WM-167 benchtop cut and strip machine, which runs 0.1–10 mm² single-core wire at up to 8,000 pieces per hour.
Special flat cables can be run against your sample: send 2–3 meters of your actual cable and we run it on this machine on video before you commit.

WM-161PX — common questions
What does the slitting function actually do?
Flat multi-pin cable carries several conductors joined by a thin insulation web. After cutting to length, the machine slits that web so the conductors separate into individual tails, then strips each tail — the part that takes longest by hand on ribbon power cable.
How long can the stripped ends be?
Head stripping fully pulls the insulation off RV cores up to 120 mm and off sheathed jackets up to 500 mm; the tail end strips up to 260 mm. That covers busbar lugs, ring terminals and staggered terminations on both ends.
Can it process round single-core hookup wire?
It is built around flat multi-pin cable — for round wire and ordinary sheathed cable the other wire cutting and stripping machines in this category are the right fit, at higher piece rates for small cross-sections.
