The WM-587 cuts thin-wall pipe to length and slits it lengthwise in the same pass, at rates up to 100,000 pieces per hour depending on tube length and size. It takes corrugated conduit, PVC pipe and heat-shrinkable tube from Φ4 to 32 mm (Φ35 mm maximum passage) at any cut length from 1 to 999,999.99 mm, holding tolerance within 0.003 × L. The slit is programmed rather than fixed — any position, any length, or continuous along the whole piece — with a servo driving the slitting knife and stepless speed set on the 7-inch interface. A 10-wheel belt drive feeds without embossing or scratching, pinch-roller height is entered digitally per diameter, and the whole machine is a 680 × 570 × 430 mm, 85 kg benchtop unit that needs no compressed air.

Suited for: thin-wall pipe from Φ4 to 32 mm — corrugated conduit, PVC pipe, heat-shrinkable tube — cut to counted lengths and slit lengthwise at any programmed position, at volume rates from a benchtop machine. Solid-wall rigid pipe is a different job: the belt feed here is built for corrugated conduit, so for PVC, PP and PE pipe held to 0.05 mm at 100 mm the WM-591 high precision rotary knife pipe cutting machine clamps and cuts on a ball-screw axis instead — at 1,000 pieces per hour rather than this machine’s rate.

Not suited for: pipe that will not pass Φ35 mm, metal tube, or coil handling. WM-587 — common questions

Can I run pieces without the slit, and how exactly is the slit programmed?

Slitting is set on the touch screen by position, length and continuity — you can open a window part-way along a piece, slit one defined section, or slit continuously down the entire length. Slitting speed is stepless on the same screen. Because it is programmed rather than set by a mechanical stop, closed and slit pieces can come off the same coil on the same shift.

How is this different from your high-speed corrugated tube cutting machine with the enclosed pay-off?

They share a feeding platform — same Φ4–32 mm range, same 100,000 pieces/hour class, same 10-wheel belt drive and cut-length tolerance — and then split apart on two things. The WM-587 slits lengthwise and is an 85 kg benchtop head. The WM-177FY does not slit at all, but carries the pay-off wheel inside its own 1550 × 650 × 1400 mm, 260 kg cabinet so the coil feeds itself. Pick this machine when you need the split; pick that one when you need the coil handled for you.

Does it cut smooth pipe and heat-shrink tube, or only corrugated conduit?

The manufacturer rates it for corrugated pipe, PVC pipe, heat-shrinkable tube and other thin-walled pipe within Φ4–32 mm. Wall thickness and stiffness vary a lot between those materials, so send a sample of the actual pipe — we run your material and send the trial video rather than promising from a datasheet.

What does installation require?

A bench and a socket. AC 220 V 50/60 Hz (110 V optional), no compressed air at all, 680 × 570 × 430 mm of bench space and 85 kg of machine. Feeding comes off your own coil or stand; there is no pay-off reel built into this model.
