Automatic Metal Tube Cutting Machine for Copper, Aluminum and Armored Pipe WM-183
The WM-183 cuts metal tubing to length with a rotating circular blade — armored pipe, copper, aluminum and stainless steel tube from Φ1 to Φ30 mm. Crawler feeding under digital servo control advances the tube in 150 mm strokes and holds length error to 0.005 × L, while the 1 kW blade motor (expandable to 2 kW) takes toothless, toothed or grinding-wheel blades to match the material. Output runs 20–100 pieces per minute onto a conveyor belt, and a pay-off rack plus bulk feeder keep it running from coiled stock.

Key features
- One machine spans Φ1 to Φ30 mm metal tube — swap between toothless, toothed and grinding-wheel blades to match armored, copper, aluminum or stainless material
- Crawler-belt feeding driven by a digital-control servo grips the tube over a long contact area, so thin-wall copper feeds without crushing and length error stays within 0.005 × L
- 20–100 cuts per minute discharged onto a conveyor — pair it with the pay-off rack and bulk feeder and it runs from coiled stock without an operator standing by
- Enclosed cutting zone with safety cover and alarm tower keeps swarf and blade exposure away from the operator
What it processes
- Flexible armored conduit and shielding tube cut to length for wire harness protection
- Copper and aluminum tube blanks for HVAC, refrigeration and heat-exchanger assembly
- Stainless steel tube sections for appliance, furniture and automotive production
Suited for: cutting metal tube to length — flexible armored conduit, copper and aluminum tube, stainless steel pipe from Φ1 to Φ30 mm, fed from coils or straight lengths. Not suited for: soft braided sleeving, ribbon or corrugated plastic conduit — for braided sleeve and foam tube, pick the WM-570S hot knife cutting machine, which cuts them with heat-sealed ends; ribbon and conduit run on the other tube and pipe cutting machines with ultrasonic and cut-split tooling. Wound spring stock — bare spring guard or PVC-sheathed spring pipe, where the coil has to stay open at the cut — runs on the WM-588 spring pipe cutting machine instead, which covers the same Ø1–30 mm range with belt feeding. And if chips are the problem rather than the speed — fluid lines where swarf left in the bore is unacceptable, or pipe above Φ30 mm — the WM-593 rotary chipless pipe cutting machine separates 10–100 mm pipe with a rolling cutter wheel, producing no chips and no burr.
Unusual tube materials can be verified against your sample: send 2–3 meters of your actual tube and we run it on this machine on video before you commit.

WM-183 — common questions
Which tube materials and diameters can the WM-183 handle?
Metal tubing from Φ1 to Φ30 mm — armored pipe, copper, aluminum, stainless steel and similar. The rotating circular knife accepts toothless saw blades, toothed saw blades or grinding-wheel blades, so you match the blade to the wall material instead of forcing one blade to do everything.
How does it keep length consistent when cutting from a coil?
A servo-driven crawler belt feeds in controlled 150 mm strokes and holds length error to 0.005 × L — 1.5 mm on a 300 mm cut. Coiled stock runs through the optional pay-off rack and bulk feeder, which unwind material ahead of the crawler so feed tension stays constant.
Can it also strip insulation or cut electrical cable?
No — it is a dedicated metal tube cutter with no stripping blades. For insulated wire and cable that needs cutting plus stripping, use the wire cutting and stripping machines instead.
