Handheld Battery Cell and Tab Tape Wrapping Machine WM-4112

HS Code 8479.89 Li-ion cells and tabs

The WM-4112 is a cordless tape wrapping gun for lithium battery work — taping cell edges and tab stacks with the insulation tapes used in pack assembly. It runs from a swappable lithium-ion battery pack, docks onto its included desktop stand with a foot pedal for bench work, and its open-jaw wrap head feeds tape over a guide chute and tears it off on a built-in serrated blade. As shipped it runs both narrow PVC rolls and the wide cloth tape common in battery packs.

Key features

  • Open-jaw wrap head with a metal guide chute seats the cell edge or tab stack, then spins the tape around it — no threading the workpiece through a closed ring
  • Serrated tear-off blade finishes each wrap in place, so the operator's second hand never reaches for scissors
  • Swappable lithium-ion pack in the pistol grip — no cord across the bench, and the flat pack base lets the gun stand upright between wraps
  • Desktop stand with foot pedal turns the same gun into a bench taping station with both hands free to present the cell
  • Runs the wide cloth tape used in battery packs as well as narrow PVC rolls — both are shown loaded in the gallery
  • Free sample test — send us your cells or tab samples and tape, we run them on this machine and send you the video before you order

What it processes

  • Insulation taping on lithium battery cells and tab stacks in pack assembly
  • Small-batch and prototype battery pack builds, rework and repair benches
  • Bench taping stations using the desktop dock and foot pedal

Suited for: taping lithium battery cells and tab stacks — handheld at the bench or rework station, or docked on the desktop stand with the foot pedal for repeat work. The wide black cloth roll on the docked machine in the gallery is the battery-pack tape this head is built to run. Not suited for: spiral wrapping of wire harness runs — the WM-4110 handheld wrapping gun (corded) and the battery-powered WM-4111 cover Φ8–35 mm bundles — or programmed spot bands at fixed positions, where the WM-4105 spot taping workstation takes over on Φ3–12 mm bundles. It is also not a production station: for repeatable taping of flat cells and module plates up to 400 × 400 mm and 1–8 mm thick at 1,500–1,800 pcs/h, the bench-height WM-476 lithium battery tape sticking machine does it under a PLC with ±0.15 mm placement accuracy, and for cells no larger than 150 × 150 mm the compact 60 kg WM-477 high-temperature tape pasting machine does the same job on a quarter of the mass. The full lineup is in the tape wrapping category.

WM-4112 — common questions

What cell sizes and tape widths does the WM-4112 handle?

We publish only what we can verify, and the full capacity table for this machine is being confirmed with the factory. The gallery shows it running both narrow PVC rolls and wide cloth tape. Tell us your cell format, tab dimensions and tape — we confirm fit on the actual machine and send you the trial video.

How is it different from the WM-4110 and WM-4111 wrapping guns?

Those are wire harness tools — they spiral-wrap bundles from 8 to 35 mm with tape 10 to 20 mm wide. The WM-4112's wrap head is set up for battery work instead — a guide chute that seats flat cell edges and tab stacks, a tear-off blade for short wraps, and the wide cloth tape used inside packs.

Does it need mains power?

No — it runs from a swappable lithium-ion battery pack, and the kit includes the charger plus a mains adapter and foot pedal for docked desktop use. Battery runtime on your duty cycle is worth asking about — tell us your wraps per shift and we will confirm with the factory.
