Semi-Automatic Spot Taping Machine for Wire Harness Bundles WM-4105

CE Certified HS Code 8479.89 Φ3–12 mm bundles

The WM-4105 is a benchtop spot taping workstation for wire bundles from Φ3 to 12 mm, running cloth and PVC tape 15 to 45 mm wide at tape speeds up to 600 mm per second. It point-wraps at a fixed position or spiral-wraps between positions, holds a wrinkle-free half-lap overlap, and counts output on the screen — the machine a harness shop buys first when hand-taped spots stop being consistent enough.

Key features

  • Two winding modes on one head — point winding at the same position for tape bands, spiral winding across positions for short covered sections
  • Runs cloth tape and PVC tape without release paper, laid flat and wrinkle-free with the overlap held at a consistent half lap
  • Wrap count and speed are stored as settings, and the production counter on the screen tracks real output per shift
  • Quick-replacement blade keeps the tape cut clean instead of stretched or torn as the blade wears
  • Free sample test — send 2–3 meters of your bundle, we tape it on this machine and send you the video before you order

What it processes

  • Tape bands and marks on harness bundles from Φ3 to 12 mm
  • Appliance, automotive and electronics sub-harnesses where taped spots replace ties and clips
  • First taping workstation for shops standardizing hand-wrapped spots into machine wraps

Suited for: repeatable tape spots and short spiral sections on thin bundles, Φ3 to 12 mm, positioned against the deck’s measuring stops — the evenly spaced black bands on the white cable in the gallery are this machine’s own output. Not suited for: bundles above Φ12 mm — the WM-4136 extended-height machine takes over up to Φ40 mm — or rigid pipes at production pace, where the pneumatic WM-4205 runs a fixed 6-second cycle. The full lineup is in the tape wrapping category.

Unsure whether your tape runs without release paper, or whether Φ12 mm is enough? Send a sample roll and 2–3 meters of bundle — we run both on this machine and send you the video before you order.

WM-4105 — common questions

What tape width does the WM-4105 accept?

Cloth or PVC tape from 15 to 45 mm wide, without release paper. A wider band covers its section in one or two turns, and the head keeps every band at the same half-lap overlap, so spots look identical across a full shift.

What can it not do?

Bundles above Φ12 mm are outside its range, and it is a bench workstation, not a portable tool — an installed harness cannot come to it. Larger bundles go to the WM-4136 up to Φ40 mm, on-vehicle work goes to the handheld models, and the full lineup is at /products/tape-wrapping/.

How does the operator hit the same spot position every time?

The deck carries a measuring rail with adjustable stops — the bundle is presented against a stop, so the band lands at the same distance on every piece, while wrap count and speed come from the stored setting. The operator loads and positions; the machine winds and cuts.
