Pneumatic Multi-Spot Tape Wrapping Machine for Rigid Pipes and Wires WM-4205
The WM-4205 wraps tape bands onto rigid pipes and rigid wires from Φ6 to 28 mm in a 6-second station cycle — the operator seats the part, and the machine clamps it, wraps the programmed number of turns and cuts the tape by itself. It takes PVC, cloth and acetate cloth tape up to 40 mm wide on rolls up to Φ105 mm, on workpieces 120 mm and longer, powered by 220 V mains plus 0.4–0.6 MPa compressed air.

Key features
- Load-and-go cycle — seat the pipe or wire against the stop, then the machine clamps, wraps the set number of turns and cuts the tape without further input
- Wire diameter and taping turns are adjusted digitally per recipe, so changing part sizes is a parameter edit rather than a mechanical setup
- Pneumatic clamping holds the part still through the wrap, which is what keeps band position and overlap repeatable at a 6-second pace
- Free sample test — send 2–3 sample pipes or wires, we band them on this machine and send you the video before you order
What it processes
- Tape banding at programmed positions on rigid pipes and rigid wires from Φ6 to 28 mm
- Marking, anti-abrasion and bundling bands on tubes, rods and pre-formed wires
- Production cells replacing hand-taped spots where a fixed 6-second station cycle matters
Suited for: repeatable tape bands on rigid pipe and rigid wire from Φ6 to 28 mm — parts 120 mm and longer, bands placed from 30 mm off the end, one band every 6 seconds with the position and overlap held by pneumatic clamping. The banded rod in the gallery is this machine’s own output. Not suited for: continuous spiral coverage or soft, floppy bundles — the WM-4136 extended-height wrapping machine covers whole-run spiral taping up to Φ40 mm, and the tape wrapping category lists benchtop and handheld alternatives down to Φ3 mm.
Not sure your part qualifies as “rigid enough”? Send 2–3 samples — we run them on this machine and send you the video of your own parts, banded, before you commit.

WM-4205 — common questions
What tape does the WM-4205 accept?
PVC tape, cloth tape and acetate cloth tape up to 40 mm wide, on rolls up to Φ105 mm outer diameter. Because the machine tensions, wraps and cuts every band the same way, band width and finish stay identical from the first part to the last.
What can it not do?
It spot-bands single rigid pipes and rigid wires only — it is not built for continuous spiral coverage along a whole harness, for soft multi-branch bundles, or for parts shorter than 120 mm, and each band must sit at least 30 mm from the part end. For continuous spiral wrapping see the WM-4136, and browse the full range at /products/tape-wrapping/ for the right match.
What utilities does it need on the bench?
A 220 V supply and compressed air at 0.4 to 0.6 MPa — the clamping is pneumatic. The machine draws 400 W and measures 600 x 650 x 560 mm at 70 kg, so it sits on a standard workbench next to the parts bin.
