Sheathed-Cable Cut, Strip and Twist Machine, 0.75–30 mm² WM-1237
The WM-1237 cuts sheathed cable to length, strips the outer jacket and the inner cores, and twists the exposed strands at each core end — in one cycle, on 0.75–30 mm² cable with fewer than 10 cores and an outside diameter to Φ18 mm. A 16-wheel belt drive feeds without marking the jacket, the twist stroke is 120 mm, and throughput is up to 3,500 pieces an hour on single wire or about 900 an hour on sheathed cable. It is the machine for leads that must arrive at the solder or crimp station with the sheath off and the exposed end strands already twisted, where the terminal specification permits.

Key features
- Jacket and core stripping plus exposed end-strand twisting in one cycle — no second pass at a twisting station; for ferrules, the terminal specification must permit twisted strands
- 16-wheel belt drive with digitally set pressure-wheel height, so a soft sheath feeds without embossing and the same setting repeats after a changeover
- Front sheath strip to 200 mm and core strip to 50 mm, for long jacket pull-offs on power leads
- Minimum piece length is a formula, not one number — total minus front strip minus rear strip must exceed 120 mm — so short jumpers are planned on the recipe before you cut
- 7-inch HMI; export units ship with the English interface and manual, voltage set for your country (220 V standard, 110 V optional)
What it processes
- Sheathed cable under 10 cores, 0.75–30 mm², that must leave the machine with exposed end strands twisted for soldering or ferrules where the terminal specification permits
- Appliance and lighting leads where the sheath pull-off and the twist are currently two hand operations
- Single-core wire in the same section when you also need the twist
Suited for: 0.75–30 mm² sheathed or single-core cable that must be cut, stripped and twisted in one pass. Not suited for: cut-and-strip without twist — WM-164. Fine single-core twist under 4.5 mm² — WM-187. Cut-and-strip above 30 mm² — WM-1420.
A heavy reel drags the feed and the cut length walks. If the spool is not free-spinning, add a pay-off to the inquiry — the WM-9153 covers 60 kg spools up to Φ18 mm.

Choose and troubleshoot this process
- How to Choose a Wire Cutting and Stripping MachineSelect a wire cutting and stripping machine by conductor size, cable construction, strip geometry, length tolerance, batch size and downstream process.
- Automatic vs Semi-Automatic Wire Processing EquipmentCompare automatic lines and semi-automatic wire-processing cells using batch size, changeover, process integration, inspection and labor content.
- Cut Lengths Drifting on a Full Spool: Pay-Off Tension, Straightener Bearings and MisfeedWhy a cut-and-strip machine that held length on a loose coil walks 10–20 mm once a heavy reel goes on, how misfeed detection works, and how to check reel tension, straighteners, feed grip and encoder calibration.
WM-1237 — common questions
I do not need twist.
The WM-164 is our 0.75–30 mm² cut-and-strip machine on the same section without the twist head. Quote that one if twisting is not in your process.
Fine single-core twist, under 4.5 mm²?
That is the WM-187. It does not cover 30 mm².
What are the crate dimensions?
The machine is a floor-standing cabinet on casters at about 100 kg. We confirm the packed dimensions on the quote before you book freight, rather than print a figure that does not match the cabinet in the photos.
Will it nick the strands?
The belt feed and the set strip depth are what protect the strands, but the answer on your sheath comes from a run on your cable. Send 2–3 metres and we run it on video before you order.
What is the power draw?
Motor rating is confirmed on the quote for your voltage (220 V standard, 110 V optional). Compressed air at 0.5 MPa is required.
Where do blades and belts come from?
Blades, feed belts and the guide are the wear parts. Every quote lists them with unit price and the location they ship from.
