Traction Taping Machine for Wire Harness, 1,050 mm Rail, Alternate Build WM-471B
The WM-471B is an alternate build of our traction taping machine, with the same specification as the WM-471: a powered rail pulls the harness through the tape head over 1,050 mm while it spot-wraps or wraps continuously at a half-lap, to ±1 mm position, using 5–25 mm tape on Φ37 or Φ32 cores at 300–2,500 rev/min. You load the lead; the rail sets the pitch, so a long straight run comes out taped evenly end to end. 36 kg, 1,470 mm long.

Suited for: a straight run up to 1,050 mm pulled through the head for an even spot or continuous wrap. Not suited for: a branched harness longer than the rail — WM-467. A short spot band on the bench — WM-4105. The other build of this specification — WM-471.

WM-471B — common questions
How is this different from the WM-471?
Same specification, alternate build — the rail, head guard and drive housing differ, the numbers do not. WM-471 is the other build. They are quoted separately, so tell us which page you are looking at.
What does the rail do?
It pulls the cable through the head over 1,050 mm at a set speed, so the wrap pitch follows the rail and not the operator's hand. Longer rails are built to order — tell us the run length on the inquiry.
What tape fits?
5–25 mm on Φ37 or Φ32 cores, no release paper — fleece, acetate, PVC, polyester. Widths outside 5–25 mm need a different head; send a roll of yours and we set it up.
Can it wrap a single wire?
The head is built for bundles. A single thin wire can drop into the tape slot, so for single-wire work tell us the diameter and we test it before you order.
The harness is longer than the rail, or branched.
That is the WM-467 — operator-guided, Φ3–30 mm, no fixed length cap. Spot bands only on a short bundle is the WM-4105.
