The WM-3210 is a full-servo double-head crimping machine built around thin wire: it takes AWG 30 up to AWG 14, cuts from 26 to 9,999 mm, strips 0.5 to 35 mm and crimps reel terminals on one or both ends at 2.0 T. Five Mitsubishi servo axes and two stepper axes move the wire, so short leads leave the machine at 4,000 to 4,800 pieces per hour (30–200 mm) while cut length holds inside ±0.02% beyond one metre.

Suited for: single discrete wire from AWG 30 to AWG 14 that has to be cut to length, stripped at both ends and crimped with reel terminals on one or both ends — especially the thin end of that range, where a servo-driven feed earns its price in scrap avoided. Not suited for: wire above AWG 14 or cable lugs beyond the 2.0 T class — those belong on the 35-ton servo cable lug crimping machine, which crimps terminals up to 120 mm². Multicore sheathed cable is a different process altogether; start with the sheathed cable crimping and tinning machine for 2–10 core cable, OD 2.0–6.5 mm. If the lead also has to end up inside a connector housing, the WM-376 double-end crimping and housing insertion machine does both in one pass for AWG 32–16, and if the wire needs a waterproof seal before the crimp, the WM-377 double-end seal insertion and crimping machine covers AWG 28–16.

Where this machine sits against our other automatic double-end crimper: the WM-3202 covers AWG 18–28 in a shorter frame (800 × 700 mm footprint, 330 kg) and holds ±0.2% on cut length. The WM-3210 is the longer, heavier machine — 1,380 × 750 mm and 360 kg — and buys you three things with that space: the range extends in both directions (AWG 30 at the fine end, AWG 14 at the heavy end), strip length goes to 35 mm instead of 10 mm, and cut tolerance tightens to ±0.02%. Pick the WM-3202 if your whole product mix lives inside AWG 18–28 and bench space is scarce; pick the WM-3210 if you run signal wire, need long strips, or want the tighter length tolerance.

Both of those machines run terminals off a reel through an applicator. If your terminals arrive loose in a bag with the insulation sleeve already fitted — pre-insulated rings, forks and quick-disconnects — neither one will feed them. The WM-3212 double-end pre-insulated terminal crimping machine orients loose pre-insulated terminals in a vibratory bowl, twists the strands before each crimp, and reaches AWG 10 at the heavy end, at 900 pieces per hour.

WM-3210 — common questions

How thin a wire can the WM-3210 actually handle?

The rated range runs from AWG 30 to AWG 14. The thin end is the reason this machine is built the way it is — servo feeding and servo cutting mean the conductor is pulled, not squeezed, so AWG 28 to AWG 30 strands survive the strip. Send us 2–3 metres of your wire with a strip of your terminals and we will run it on the machine and film the result before you order.

Which applicators and terminals will it take?

Reel-fed terminals in standard OTP horizontal or straight applicators, crimped at 2.0 T; other crimping forces can be quoted, and European-style applicators can be fitted as a customization. The press stations are 2 T / 3 T European precision frequency-conversion terminal presses, so applicators you already run on a bench press normally transfer without new tooling.

How long can the stripped section be?

Up to 35 mm at either end. Anything above 12 mm is run as a half strip first — the insulation slug is cut through but left on the wire and pulled off in a second move, which keeps fine strands from being dragged out of the crimp barrel.

What is the WM-3210 not the right machine for?
