Two-Station Spot Taping Machine for Wire Coils and Long Bundles WM-464

CE Certified HS Code 8479.89 10 s per wrap point (per side)

The WM-464 tape-wraps wire coils and long bundles at fixed points on two independent stations — while one station winds, the operator loads the other, so the 10-second single-side wrap time is never idle time. It clamps coils from 500 to 2,500 mm total length with wrap-point center distances of 300 to 2,200 mm and up to 1,800 mm between taping points, carrying work up to 30 kg. Ring-style taping heads run tape up to 40 mm wide on standard 38 mm mandrel cores, banding motor coils, transformer windings and harness bundles without hand-wrapping fatigue.

Key features

  • Two stations overlap loading and wrapping — the machine is winding on one side while the operator stages the next coil on the other, so output is set by the 10 s wrap, not by handling
  • Takes serious work — coils to 2,500 mm length and 30 kg that are tiring and inconsistent to band by hand
  • Wrap points up to 1,800 mm apart are taped in one clamping, keeping long bundles straight instead of re-fixturing mid-part
  • Ring taping heads accept standard 38 mm core rolls up to 40 mm wide, so tape is an off-the-shelf consumable, not a special order

What it processes

  • Banding motor and transformer coils after winding
  • Point-taping long harness bundles and cable looms at set intervals
  • Coil sets and bobbin assemblies up to 30 kg in electrical equipment plants

Suited for: point-taping formed coils and long bundles — motor and transformer coils, bobbin assemblies and harness looms from 500 to 2,500 mm and up to 30 kg, banded at set positions on two alternating stations. Not suited for: continuous spiral wrapping — for that, pick the WM-4136 tape wrapping machine, the dedicated spiral station with no length limit — while loose short leads spot-tape on the WM-4105 bench taping machine.

Send 3–5 of your actual coils or bundles with the tape you use, and we clamp, wrap and film them at production pace before you commit — check the wrap tightness and point positions yourself.

WM-464 — common questions

What work envelope does the WM-464 cover?

Coils or bundles with a total length of 500 to 2,500 mm, wrap-point center distances from 300 to 2,200 mm and up to 1,800 mm between taping points, cross-sections of roughly 5 – 25 mm by 10 – 65 mm, bobbin diameters R90 – R150 and workpieces up to 30 kg.

Which tape does it run?

Standard rolls on 38 mm mandrel cores, any common taping material up to 40 mm wide — PVC, cloth and acetate harness tapes included. Each wrap point takes about 10 seconds per side at a set overlap.

What is it not meant for?

Continuous spiral wrapping along a full harness length, or taping loose short leads — it wraps discrete points on formed coils and bundles. For continuous and small-bundle taping, see the other machines in our tape wrapping category.
