The WM-468 wraps adhesive tape bands around wound coils and ring-type workpieces — place the coil against the wrap point and the pneumatic taping head pulls, wraps and cuts the tape in a cycle within 1.5 seconds. It runs 10–15 mm tape (customizable width) with cutting lengths of 45–75 mm, set from a color touchscreen with an English interface, auto/manual modes and an output counter.

What it processes

• Banding flat-wire and round-wire wound coils to keep windings compressed and terminated
• Insulation tape bands on inductor, choke and transformer coils and ring-type cores
• Securing tape wraps at intervals around racetrack and toroidal coil bodies before assembly or potting

Suited for: wrap-around tape banding on wound coils and ring-type workpieces — the tape passes through the coil opening and bands the cross-section, one band per 1.5-second cycle. Not suited for: continuous spiral taping along wire harness bundles — that is the job of the WM-467 automatic wire harness taping machine for Φ3–30 mm bundles; for spot taping at programmed points on coils and long bundles, use the WM-464 two-station spot taping machine. Small transformer bobbins and magnetic core coils that need the winding covered rather than banded are the job of the WM-470 transformer coil tape winding machine, which orbits the tape around the coil at 46 pcs/min.

Tape width outside 10–15 mm can be accommodated on request, and non-standard coil shapes are handled with a customized wrapping reel — include your coil dimensions and tape spec in the inquiry so we can confirm tooling before quoting.
