Ultrasonic V-Cut Webbing Cutting Machine with Shaped Press Die, 15 kHz WM-581
The WM-581 is a press-type ultrasonic cutter: webbing is laid into a shaped die on the work table and one 85 mm cylinder stroke drives a 15 kHz horn down to cut and seal the V profile in a single hit. The shape is machined into the tooling rather than set on a blade, so thick flat braided rope and strapping come out with identical V ends every stroke, fused closed against fraying. The 2,600 W generator runs on 200–240 V AC with automatic real-time frequency tracking, welding amplitude adjustable from 10% to 100%, a Chinese/English interface and a stroke counter. The floor frame measures 650 × 750 × 1500 mm and weighs 160 kg.

Suited for: V-shaped and other die-formed ends on synthetic webbing, strapping and flat braided rope — especially thick or dense braid where the end must be fused shut and the profile has to come out the same on every piece. Not suited for: continuous cut-to-length production from a reel. WM-581 — common questions
How is a press-type ultrasonic cutter different from an inline webbing cutter?
An inline cutter pulls tape off a reel, meters a programmed length and cuts it on the fly — throughput is high but the end shape comes from a blade angle. The WM-581 instead holds the material still while a shaped die and the ultrasonic horn close on it, so the whole V profile is formed in one stroke by hardened tooling. Can the die cut something other than a V?
The die is a bolted insert in a clamped holder on the work table, so the profile is a tooling question rather than a machine question. Send us a dimensioned sketch of the end shape you want with your inquiry and we confirm the die design before the order — and we cut a set of samples in your own material so you judge the seal and the geometry first.
Which materials seal properly on this machine?
Synthetic fibres that fuse under ultrasonic energy — polyester, nylon, polypropylene braid, webbing and strapping. Natural fibres such as pure cotton are severed but do not seal, so their ends still behave like scissor-cut ends. Blends fall between the two, which is why we run your actual material before quoting.
What is this machine not suitable for?
It does not meter length. There is no reel feed, no length program and no piece counter driving a cut cycle, so cut-to-length production belongs on a fed machine — the WM-574 ultrasonic rope and webbing cutting machine programs 1–10,000 mm on material 1–80 mm wide.
