The WM-585 cuts heat shrink tubing to length on a 570 × 490 × 460 mm bench frame. A pneumatic cylinder drives the blade through a 60 mm stroke across a 90 mm wide throat, taking tube from Ø1 to Ø30 mm at about 1,000 pieces an hour. Belt feeding carries the tube instead of pinching it, so the surface leaves the machine without embossing or scratch marks, and the pressure-wheel height is set as a digital value rather than by feel. Batches are programmed on a 7-inch human-machine interface. The machine runs on 220 V at 300 W plus 0.5–0.7 MPa shop air and weighs 70 kg net.

WM-585 — common questions

How is the WM-585 different from the WM-565N heat shrink tube cutting machine?

Rate versus finish. The WM-565N runs 60–210 pieces per minute and takes tube up to Φ38 mm — that is the machine for volume and for large-bore shrink tube. The WM-585 is rated at about 1,000 pieces an hour on tube from Ø1 to Ø30 mm, cutting with a pneumatic blade across a 90 mm throat, and what it sells on is surface finish: belt feeding rated to leave no embossing or scratching, with the pressure-wheel height set as a digital value so the same gap returns at every changeover. Send us your tube diameter, wall thickness and monthly quantity and we will say which of the two fits.

Why does this machine need compressed air?

The cut-off is a pneumatic cylinder with a 60 mm stroke rather than a motor-driven blade, so the workstation needs a shop air supply at 0.5 to 0.7 MPa alongside the 220 V, 300 W electrical connection. A 110 V 50/60 Hz supply is available as a factory option. If the station where you plan to put it has no air line, tell us and we will point you at an all-electric tube cutter instead.

What tube is shown in the sample photographs?

The cut pieces in the photographs are segments of black corrugated conduit run on this machine — they are there to show the square cut faces the blade leaves, not to define what the machine is rated for. The manufacturer rates it for tube from Ø1 to Ø30 mm within a 90 mm cutting width.

What cutting length and length tolerance can I expect?

The manufacturer does not publish a cutting length range or a length tolerance for this model, and we will not print a number we cannot source. We ask the factory for both in writing when we quote you, and we prove them on your own material — send 2 to 3 metres of your tube and we run it on this machine on video, with the finished pieces measured on camera, before you commit to an order.
