Automatic Meter Counting Coil Winding and Tying Machine WM-4813
The WM-4813 measures, winds and ties in one cycle. Wire, cable or soft tube from 1 to 8 mm runs through the counting wheel, winds into a coil with a 50–280 mm inner diameter and a 350 mm outer diameter, and comes off tied at a bundle diameter of 18 to 65 mm — up to 2.5 kg per coil. Four stepping motors and a PLC touch screen set the metered length, the number of turns and the winding speed, which is adjustable from 1 to 13 cycles per second.

Key features
- Counting, winding and tying happen in one uninterrupted cycle — nobody carries a loose coil to a second station
- Four stepping motors drive feeding, traverse, winding and tying separately, so each stage keeps its own set speed
- Metered length, turn count and winding speed are typed on the PLC touch screen (English interface) and recalled per wire type
- Tie material feeds from a spool above the frame through its own roller drive; the C-shaped jaw wraps it round the coil and twists it closed
- Single hand knob releases the winding flange, so the tied coil lifts off without losing its shape
- Free sample test — send your wire or cable, we run your coil size and tie position on this machine and send you the video before you order
What it processes
- Repacking bulk drums into measured, tied retail coils of 1–8 mm wire and cable
- Power cord, extension cord and rubber-jacketed flexible cable coiled to length and tied for shipping
- Soft tube, trimmer line and rope-like filament inside the 1–8 mm range
- Cable shops and warehouses selling cut-to-length coils that have to arrive already bundled
Suited for: wire, cable, soft tube and filament from 1 to 8 mm that has to be counted, coiled and tied in one pass — coil inner diameter 50–280 mm, outer diameter 350 mm, up to 2.5 kg per coil, bundled at 18–65 mm. Not suited for: material outside 1–8 mm or coils that only need measuring and winding — use the WM-4810 automatic wire coiling machine with meter counter (0.5–16 mm wire, 30–350 mm coil inner diameter, no tying head). Bundles under 18 mm belong on the WM-4807 semi-automatic winding and twist tie machine (bundle Ø 5–35 mm). If the cable also has to be cut off the drum in the same cycle, the WM-4808 cutting, figure-8 coiling and tying machine handles 3–12 mm cable in 3–10 m lengths.
Three machines’ worth of work sits inside one frame here. Wire enters through the roller guide bank, passes the counting wheel that drives the length reading on screen, and is laid onto the winding flange while the traverse spreads the turns. When the set length or turn count is reached, the tie head takes over: coated tie wire comes down from the spool through its own roller drive, the C-shaped jaw closes around the coil and twists the tie shut. Release the flange knob and the finished coil comes off bundled.
That single-pass sequence is the whole point of the 2,500 W, 230 kg build — it is a heavier and more powerful machine than a plain meter-counting coiler because the tying head, the tie feed and four separate stepping motors all live in the same cabinet. Send us 20–30 meters of your cable plus the coil and tie dimensions you sell, and we run it before you commit.

WM-4813 — common questions
Does the WM-4813 tie the coil, or only wind it?
It ties. Tie material feeds from the spool mounted above the frame, and the tying jaw wraps and twists it around the coil at the end of the winding cycle — bundle diameter is stated as 18 to 65 mm. The sample coils in the photos come off the machine already tied at two points.
How is this different from the WM-4810 meter counting coiler?
Different machine, different job. The WM-4810 counts and winds only — the operator lifts the coil off and ties it elsewhere — but it covers a wider 0.5–16 mm wire range and 30–350 mm coil inner diameters. The WM-4813 adds the tying head, so a finished coil leaves the machine bundled, at the cost of a narrower 1–8 mm wire range and a fixed 350 mm coil outer diameter. Choose the WM-4813 when the tie is part of the finished goods; choose the WM-4810 when you only need measured coils.
What coil sizes can it produce?
Coil inner diameter is adjustable from 50 to 280 mm against a 350 mm outer diameter, and the stated maximum coil weight is 2.5 kg. Send us your target inner diameter, outer diameter and coil weight together with 20–30 meters of your cable and we confirm the setup on a sample video.
What tie material does it run?
The source specification does not state a tie material. What the machine shows is a spool-fed coated twist-tie wire running through a four-roller drive into the tying jaw. Tell us which tie you buy today and we confirm the spool and jaw setting with the factory before you order.
How fast is it?
No pieces-per-hour figure is published for this machine. The stated winding speed is 1 to 13 cycles per second and the number of turns is freely settable, so cycle time follows your coil length and diameter. We can time a real cycle on your own cable during the sample test and send you the video.
