The WM-1215D is an all-electric benchtop stripper for fine wires from 0.03 to 4 mm² (max cable OD 4.2 mm) — it runs from a power outlet, so no air compressor or air line is needed. Blade diameter is set in 0.01 mm steps, stripping lengths reach 20 mm with both full and partial strips, and one cycle takes 0.5 s. At 4.5 kg and only 85 mm wide, it fits — and moves — anywhere on the bench.

Suited for: benches with no compressed-air line that still need machine-quality stripping — discrete, solid and stranded wires from 0.03 to 4 mm², cables up to 4.2 mm OD, full or partial strips with lengths up to 20 mm. Not suited for: cutting wire to length (see the automatic cut and strip machines) or conductors above 4 mm² — heavy wires up to 25 mm² belong on the pneumatic WM-1216C. WM-1215D — common questions
Do I need an air compressor for the WM-1215D?
No — that is the machine's whole point. It is fully electric and runs from a bench power outlet through its power adapter, so there is nothing pneumatic to install, pipe or maintain. If your workshop already runs shop air and you prefer an air-driven unit, look at its pneumatic twin, the WM-1215C.
Which insulation materials can it strip?
Rubber, PUR, PVC and Teflon insulated wires are all within its range, on solid, stranded and discrete conductors as well as single-core and multi-core cables — up to 4 mm² cross-section and 4.2 mm outer diameter.
How precise is the blade setting on very fine wire?
The stripping diameter is adjusted in 0.01 mm (0.001") increments, so on a 0.03 mm² conductor you can position the blades just clear of the copper — and return to exactly that setting the next time the job comes around.
