The WM-174Z cuts and strips wire from 1 to 30 mm² and, unlike an end-strip-only machine, opens insulation windows anywhere along the piece — up to 32 middle-strip segments at any position and length, or an unlimited number when evenly spaced. Heads full-strip to 190 mm or half-strip to 9,999 mm; tails full-strip to 80 mm with the same 9,999 mm half-strip reach. Sixteen belt-drive wheels feed wire up to Φ16 without embossing, holding cut lengths from 1 to 99,999.99 mm within 0.002 × L at up to 2,000 pieces per hour, programmed on a 7-inch touchscreen.

What is middle stripping actually used for?
Any joint that lands in the middle of a run instead of at the ends — solder taps on LED strings, ground bonds, spliced branch circuits, resistance-welded shunts. The WM-174Z opens each window to programmed position and length, so downstream stations stop hand-scoring insulation with a knife.
What is the difference between full stripping and half stripping here?
Full stripping pulls the insulation slug completely off, leaving bare copper — up to 190 mm at the head and 80 mm at the tail. Half stripping cuts the insulation but leaves the slug sitting on the strands, protecting them from fraying in transit; the operator twists it off at assembly. Half strips program up to 9,999 mm on both ends.
Does it strip the inner cores of sheathed multi-core cable?
No — its blades work one insulation layer at a time, so on sheathed cable it opens the outer jacket only. Jacket-plus-core processing in one pass belongs to the multi-core machines in the wire cutting and stripping category.
