The WM-388 crimps terminals on both wire ends and slides an insulation sleeve over the crimped joint in the same automated cycle — a finish that otherwise costs a separate hand-sleeving bench. It processes 10–24 AWG wire at up to 1,700 pieces per hour with ±0.1 mm accuracy, strips 3–10 mm, and crimps from 2.0 to 4.0 tons under Mitsubishi PLC control. Sleeves are singulated from a vibratory bowl and placed automatically, while stripping, air-pressure and bad-terminal detection run on every cycle. The machine needs 0.4–0.5 MPa of clean air and stands 1300 × 800 × 1330 mm at 450 kg.

Why insert sleeves on the machine instead of by hand?

Hand-sleeving is the slowest and least consistent station on a crimp line. The WM-388 feeds sleeves from a vibratory bowl and positions them over the crimped joint automatically at up to 1,700 pieces per hour with ±0.1 mm accuracy — the sleeve lands the same way on every part, at machine speed.

Which wires, terminals and sleeves does it cover?

Wire from AWG 10 to AWG 24 with stripping lengths of 3–10 mm, crimped at 2.0–4.0 tons. Applicators and sleeve tooling are matched to your exact terminal and sleeve dimensions, so send samples of all three — wire, terminals and sleeves — for a confirmed tooling quote.

What jobs should go to a different machine?

Heat-shrink insulation is a different process — sleeves here are pushed on cold, not shrunk with heat; for shrink-tube cutting and heating see the heat shrink processing machines category. Wire outside AWG 10–24 and connector-housing insertion are also beyond this model.
