The WM-673 laser-prints a legend on heat shrink tube, cuts the sleeve, inserts it onto the wire end and shrinks it in a listed 2.5-second cycle, with actual cycle basis confirmed in a trial. Standard tube is the Φ2.0/Φ10 class with shrink lengths of 8–45 mm selected by fixture — a wider OD class and 5 mm more shrink zone than the Φ2.0/Φ6.5, 8–40 mm WM-671JG. The laser needs no ink or ribbon; jobs import from Excel, run serial numbers and can put a different label on each core of two-core wire. Listed at 1,000–2,000 pieces per hour; cycle basis and actual output are confirmed together in a trial. 2,500 W, forced water cooling, 900 × 550 × 1,290 mm, 165 kg.

Key features

  • Laser writes the legend into the tube — waterproof, oil-proof characters with no ink, ribbon or other print consumable to buy or run out of
  • Legend content is free-form on the 7-inch screen, imports from Excel, runs serial numbers and combined documents, and stores jobs in memory; two-core wire can take a different label on each core in the same run
  • Switch the laser off and the station runs plain black tube as a regular inserting-and-shrinking cell, using the same fixtures
  • Tube feeds and cuts from the reel; shrink length 8–45 mm is selected by fixture, a 5 mm longer zone than the Φ6.5-class sibling, and shrink position is set by the locating device
  • Digital temperature control 0–400 °C with heater-fault monitoring; low air pressure trips automatic heater protection
  • Manipulator wire take-out is fitted as standard for standard wire types; one-key parameter restore undoes an accidental process change
  • Free sample test — send your wire, your tube size and the exact legend text; we run the job on this machine and send the video before you order

What it processes

  • Wire-harness ends that need a printed heat shrink identification sleeve — insulation and labeling done in one cycle on tube up to the Φ10 class
  • Appliance, control-cabinet and automotive harness shops replacing separate print, cut, thread and shrink steps with a single operator-fed station
  • Color-coded work on white, red or blue tube where printed legends must survive oil, handling and cleaning, plus unmarked black-tube jobs on the same fixtures

Suited for: printed heat shrink identification on wire ends — laser-marked legend, tube cut, threaded and shrunk in a listed 2.5-second cycle, with actual cycle basis confirmed in a trial, tube in the Φ2.0/Φ10 class with 8–45 mm shrink zones. Not suited for: treating this page as a photo-and-price variant of the WM-671JG, which is the Φ2.0/Φ6.5, 8–40 mm laser all-in-one — quote that machine when your sleeve stays inside the Φ6.5 class. Ink/print marking on Φ2.0/Φ6.0 mm tube is the WM-669 inserting, marking and shrinking machine. Insert-and-heat without any marking, Φ2.0 to Φ8.0 mm, is the WM-663 heat shrink tube inserting and heating machine. Marked number sleeves in bulk without threading them onto wire belong on the WM-665JG six-channel number tube cutting and laser marking machine (Φ1.5 to Φ40, 8–300 mm). Sleeves already positioned along a harness section go to the WM-664 infrared harness heat shrink oven (sections up to Ø100 mm). Same published sheet, different photos and price: the WM-673B.

Legend layout, contrast on your tube color and shrink finish are easiest to judge on your own parts: send 2–3 meters of your wire, your tube and the exact legend text, and we run the job on this machine on video before you commit to the order.

WM-673 — common questions

How is the WM-673 different from the WM-671JG?

Same process — laser mark, cut, insert and shrink, with listed figures of 2.5 seconds and 1,000–2,000 pcs/h to be confirmed together, 2,500 W, forced water cooling, 900 × 550 × 1,290 mm, 165 kg — but not the same machine. The WM-673 takes tube in the Φ2.0/Φ10 class with shrink lengths of 8–45 mm. The WM-671JG is Φ2.0/Φ6.5 with 8–40 mm. If your sleeve sits above the Φ6.5 class or you need the extra 5 mm of shrink zone, this is the page to quote; do not treat the two as a price variant of each other.

How is the WM-673 different from the WM-669?

Marking method, tube class and utilities. The WM-669 prints the legend with an ink/print unit on Φ2.0/Φ6.0 mm tube, heats 6–35 mm at 0–380 °C, uses forced air cooling, draws 1,450 W and weighs 82 kg. The WM-673 laser-marks Φ2.0/Φ10 tube, shrinks 8–45 mm at 0–400 °C, uses forced water cooling, draws 2,500 W and weighs 165 kg. Choose the WM-669 for ink marking on the smaller class; choose this machine for laser marking without ink or ribbon on the Φ10 class.

What is the WM-673B?

An alternate build of this machine with the same specification. The WM-673B is quoted separately — tell us which page you are looking at when you ask for a price.

Which tube sizes and colors does it handle?

Standard compatibility is Φ2.0/Φ10, with shrink lengths of 8–45 mm selected by fixture. The laser marks white, red, blue and similar light-colored tube. For plain black tube, switch the laser off and the machine works as a regular inserting-and-shrinking station with the same fixtures.

What throughput should I plan for?

The specification lists a 2.5-second cycle and 1,000–2,000 pieces per hour. These figures do not align for one finished piece per cycle; we confirm the cycle basis and achievable output with your parts — the machine is passive (operator-fed), with a robotic take-out device removing finished wires as standard. Send sample wires and we time your actual part on video.

What utilities does it need?

A 220 V AC, 50/60 Hz supply (rated power 2,500 W), compressed air at 0.5/0.65 MPa and a non-corrosive-air environment. Laser cooling is forced water cooling. The machine stands 900 × 550 × 1,290 mm and weighs 165 kg.

What control interface will the machine have?

Parameters are entered on the 7-inch capacitive screen. We set the voltage for your country and ship the English interface and manual; we demonstrate the control layout during your sample run.
