Suited for: operator-paced winding plus twist tying of cable and soft hose into finished bundles of 40–80 mm diameter, with 200–300 mm tie length on 1 × 2.9 mm tie wire. Not suited for: smaller 5–35 mm bundles — that is the WM-4807 semi-automatic winding and twist tie machine. Hands-free round coiling with two ties at line rates belongs on the WM-4800 automatic coiling and double-tie machine (wire or tube ≤Ø10 mm, up to 1,200 pcs/h). Measuring and cutting off a reel before coiling is the WM-4823 or the WM-4808.
The diameter step is the whole point of this machine. Once bundles grow past 35 mm, a 5–35 mm tying head either refuses the coil or leaves a weak wrap; here the published band starts at 40 mm and runs to 80 mm, with a longer 200–300 mm tie feed to match. The workflow stays the same as the smaller benchtop cell — pedal to wind, hand the coil to the tying port — so a packing bench that already runs that rhythm does not have to relearn the job.

What exactly does the operator do per cycle?
Two touches. Lay the wire or hose on the winding disc and step the foot pedal once — the stepper motor winds the programmed turns and brakes at its fixed stop. Then move the wound coil to the tying port, where the tie is wrapped, twisted and cut automatically in about 0.6 seconds.
How is this different from the WM-4807?
Bundle size. The WM-4807 covers bundling diameters of 5–35 mm with tie lengths of 65–150 mm on a 25 kg, 400 × 470 × 320 mm frame. The WM-4824 steps up to 40–80 mm bundles and 200–300 mm tie length on a 50 kg, 550 × 610 × 420 mm frame at under 100 W. Same operator-paced wind-then-tie workflow; different bundle envelope.
Does it measure and cut cable off a reel?
No. It winds and ties pieces that are already cut to length, or hose sections presented by the operator. If measuring, cutting, coiling and tying have to happen in one machine, the WM-4823 meter counting coil winding, cutting and tying machine covers Ø2–7 mm or Ø6–10 mm with an integrated cut, and the WM-4808 does measure–cut–figure-8–tie for cable OD 3–12 mm.
What tie wire does it use?
The source lists 1 × 2.9 mm tie wire with a feed length of 200–300 mm. The English running page in the gallery shows a binding length of 205 mm inside that band. Send a sample of the tie you already buy if you need a different section confirmed before order.
Is 0.6 seconds per tie a guaranteed throughput?
It is the source-listed twist-tie speed for the tying port alone. Total pieces per hour also depend on winding turns, coil size and how fast the operator moves the coil from the disc to the tying port — we time a real cycle on your material during the sample test.
