Our WM-9304B folds self-adhesive labels into projecting flags around manually loaded wires and cables. The pictured floor cabinet has a touchscreen and a side-mounted label reel, with no printer fitted. It is an alternate build of our wire flag labeling machine, with the same listed processing specification as WM-9304F, quoted separately. Standard guide groups cover up to Ø10 mm wire, labels are 20–180 mm long and 5–45 mm wide, and the listed 1,500–1,800 pcs/h depends on label size and manual loading.

Electrical configurationWe configure the machine’s electrical supply for your installation before shipment. Your quote confirms the voltage, phase, frequency, current and the power cord with plug or industrial connection for your site. Common site supplies are 120 V, 60 Hz with grounded Type B outlets in the US and Canada, with 208 V or 240 V also found at industrial sites. The UK and Ireland use 230 V, 50 Hz with Type G. Australia and New Zealand use nominal 230 V, 50 Hz with Type I, and some Australian sites list 240 V. Three-phase installations in the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand commonly use 400 V at 50 Hz, with 415 V at some Australian sites.

Key features

  • Enter the next label size and wire diameter on the touchscreen, so changes to those settings do not require separate screw adjustments.
  • Servo positioning repeats the label presentation step, reducing the hand alignment involved in making each folded flag.
  • Label-gap sensing follows the separation between labels to feed the next label from the liner; we test detection and release with your actual stock.
  • The side-mounted reel and numbered guide rollers make the threading path visible when changing label rolls.
  • Send wire and label samples: we run a trial and film loading, feeding and the finished flag so you can judge its position and edge alignment.

What it processes

  • Projecting identification flags on cables and wire harnesses
  • Preprinted circuit, part-number and warning labels on suitable self-adhesive stock
  • USB, earphone and power-cord identification after testing the actual cable and label
  • Folded identification labels on suitable flat wire and tubing, subject to sample confirmation

Choose the build around the label workflow

A flag label folds back on itself and projects beside the wire. The pictured build feeds self-adhesive stock from a side-mounted reel, while the operator positions each wire at the folding head. The touchscreen accepts label-size and wire-diameter settings. The photographs show the roll-fed configuration without a printer.

Our WM-9304F wire flag labeling and folding machine page covers the industrial-PC printing configuration and the WM-9304T touchscreen configuration. WM-9304B shares the listed processing specification and is quoted separately. Send an example of the label information and how the operator receives it; we confirm the controls and printing arrangement for that job.

Check the flag on the materials you ship

Send the wire outside diameters, jacket material, label drawing and a roll of the actual stock. Specify the distance from the wire end, the flag direction and the edge-alignment error you can accept. For printed codes, include sample records and the method used to read them.

We test label detection, liner release, adhesive, curl and folding together. Include two regular jobs if roll changes and mixed batches matter to your production. We film the trial so you can see loading, feeding and the finished flag before ordering.

For a label that must lie flush around the cable, see our WM-9328 wire label printing and wrap-around machine, specified for Ø3–12 mm cable and 20–100 mm label length. For wire above the standard guide ranges or another label construction, send samples and a finished-label drawing through our custom machine inquiry. Ask for a WM-9304B quote with the wire size and a photo of the mark or label you want. That lets us check the equipment and consumables together.

WM-9304B — common questions

How is WM-9304B different from WM-9304F?

Both use manual cable loading and share the listed processing specification. WM-9304B is the pictured touchscreen build with a side label reel and no fitted printer. WM-9304F is our industrial-PC printing configuration; its page also shows the WM-9304T touchscreen configuration. We quote WM-9304B separately and confirm the supplied controls, printing hardware and data workflow on the quote. No higher speed or accuracy is claimed for this build.

Does this build print the labels?

The photographs show roll-fed label application with no printer fitted. Use prepared labels for the non-printing workflow. If the job needs printing at the station, send the print content, data format and sample label roll so we can confirm the required hardware and workflow on the quote.

What wire and label sizes use the standard setup?

The three guide groups are Ø0–3.5, Ø3.0–5.5 and Ø4.0–10 mm. Standard labels are 20–180 mm long and 5–45 mm wide. Wire above Ø10 mm or label sizes outside those ranges need customization. Send the finished-label drawing, actual wire outside diameters and label stock before ordering.

Can every job reach 1,500–1,800 pieces per hour?

The listed output depends on label size and manual operation speed. Loading a long cable, handling a finished harness and changing rolls also take operator time. We demonstrate your regular jobs with the actual materials so you can assess useful output and changeover time.

How do we agree the labeling tolerance?

The listed ±0.2 excludes product and label errors; its acceptance unit and the applicable tolerance are confirmed on the quote. Tell us the permitted flag-position error, edge-alignment error and print-reading requirement on your actual wire and label. We use those requirements for the sample trial.

Will the controls and setup information be in English?

Before dispatch, we set the voltage for your country and ship the English interface and manual. We demonstrate setup with the agreed wire and label samples.

How are replacement wear parts supplied?

For the wear parts needed by the selected configuration, every quote lists them with unit price and the location they ship from.
