IPC Wire Flag Label Printing and Folding Machine WM-9304F
The WM-9304F prints, applies and folds flag labels around wire in one cycle under industrial-PC control. Standard guide groups cover Ø0–3.5, Ø3–5.5 and Ø4–10 mm wire; label length is 20–180 mm, label width is 5–45 mm, and rated output is 1,500–1,800 pieces per hour.

Key features
- Prints variable flag-label content and applies it around the wire in the same cycle
- Folds the two label halves together to create a readable projecting flag
- Uses three standard guide groups to cover wire from Ø0 to 10 mm
- Accepts 20–180 mm label length and 5–45 mm label width
- Runs under industrial-PC control for stored print and application jobs
What it processes
- Barcode and QR flag labeling for traceable wire-harness assemblies
- Wire identification where a larger readable area is needed than wraparound text provides
- Variable part number, batch or circuit ID printing during harness production
- Folded labels for control panels, industrial equipment and serviceable cable sets
Suited for: printing, applying and folding a flag label around wire up to Ø10 mm with a standard guide group. Not suited for: wrap-around labels that must lie flush on the wire instead of standing off it — that is a different label construction and belongs on the WM-9321 real-time label printing and wrapping machine, which applies 20–100 mm labels around the wire circumference. Larger wire or any other label construction needs engineering review — route those requirements through custom machine inquiry with samples and a finished-label drawing.
This machine is the floor-standing build, with an industrial PC and a rated 1,500–1,800 pieces per hour. The same flag-label process is also made as a benchtop unit — smaller footprint, touchscreen entry instead of an IPC, and no published throughput figure — which suits a wiring bench that labels in short runs rather than a dedicated labelling station. Ask us for it by describing the bench and the run size; we quote it against the same label and wire samples.
The machine combines two jobs that are often separated: generating the variable print and positioning the two adhesive halves so they fold into one aligned flag. That reduces manual label handling, but it also makes the label stock part of the machine specification. Liner release, adhesive, curl and print registration are tested together.
The specified ±0.2 excludes material and label errors; the tolerance unit is confirmed on the quote. Production acceptance should instead define a measurable flag-position tolerance, print-readability requirement and reject method for the buyer’s actual wire and label.
For touchscreen setup on a floor-standing cabinet, see our WM-9304T semi-automatic wire flag labeling machine. It shares the listed processing ranges and is quoted separately, with an optional printer.
WM-9304F — common questions
What wire sizes use the standard guides?
The three listed guide groups cover Ø0–3.5 mm, Ø3–5.5 mm and Ø4–10 mm wire. Wire above Ø10 mm requires a custom evaluation rather than an assumed extension of the standard range.
What label roll information should I provide?
Provide label material, liner, finished flag dimensions, pitch, roll direction, roll OD and core ID. The stated machine limit is 240 mm roll OD with a 76 mm core, but the sensor and print path must also match the actual stock.
Can it print barcodes or QR codes from variable data?
The sample images show printed machine-readable labels, but the final data workflow still has to be confirmed. Send example records, symbology, character set, database or file format, and the required verification method.
What affects the stated 1,500–1,800 pcs/h output?
Label length, print content, wire handling, operator loading and data exchange can all change the cycle. The acceptance test uses your wire, label roll and representative print job to report a practical rate.
What is needed for a non-standard application?
Send wire samples, wire OD range, label drawings and rolls, print files, required flag position and orientation, batch size and photos of the upstream and downstream process. We evaluate the guide and software interface before quoting customization.
