The WM-9328 is a benchtop unit that prints a label and wraps it around the wire in the same cycle, at 1,000–1,800 pcs/h and ±0.2 mm labeling accuracy. It takes cable from Ø3 to 12 mm and label stock 20–100 mm long by 5–45 mm wide, off rolls up to 240 mm diameter on a 76 mm core, with the positioning ruler setting the label anywhere from 15 to 200 mm along the wire. The whole machine occupies about 500 × 350 × 520 mm of bench space.

Suited for: printing variable barcodes, serial numbers or circuit IDs on 20–100 mm × 5–45 mm label stock and wrapping them around cable from Ø3 to 12 mm, positioned 15–200 mm from the wire end, on a bench rather than a dedicated floor station. Not suited for: four jobs that sound like this one and are not. If the printed area has to be bigger than the wire circumference allows — long part numbers, dense 2D codes — the label has to fold into a flag, and the WM-9304F flag label printing and folding machine takes 20–180 mm labels on wire to Ø10 mm. Cable above Ø12 mm falls outside the WM-9328 standard range — bring it to custom machine sourcing with a wire sample and a label drawing.

The reason to look at a benchtop wrap applicator rather than the floor version is rarely price. It is where the labelling happens. A harness shop that labels at the end of assembly wants the printer next to the assembly board; moving finished harnesses to a labelling station and back is handling that adds no value and adds damage. At roughly 500 × 350 mm of bench area the WM-9328 sits beside the work instead of pulling the work to it, and the trade-off it accepts for that is the smaller operator interface and the absence of a PC workstation.

Three things about the published data are worth reading carefully before you compare quotes. First, the Ø3–12 mm cable range is real and narrow — this is one of the few models in the label family that publishes a diameter limit at all, and it is the specification most likely to rule the machine in or out. Second, the 240 mm roll figure appears on the specification under a heading that reads as roll width, which cannot be right when the maximum label width is 45 mm; the same 240 mm value is described as the roll outer diameter on the specifications for neighbouring models, and that is how it is reproduced here. Confirm roll outer diameter and core inner diameter against your actual stock anyway. Third, no power supply, power rating, weight or air pressure is published for this model, and the machine plainly runs on compressed air — those four numbers should come back in writing with the quotation, not be assumed from a sister model.

Label stock is part of this machine’s specification, not an accessory to it. Liner release, adhesive tack, curl and print registration decide whether a wrapped label survives handling, and a label that behaves on a PVC jacket can fail on silicone or PTFE.
