CE Certified Conventional and single-ended harnesses 128 / 256 / 512 test points

Get a quote for WM-833 →

The WM-833 is a 10 V wire harness continuity tester offered in 128-, 256- and 512-point configurations. It checks opens, shorts and wiring errors on conventional or single-ended harnesses, with continuous and single-test modes. We match the point count, connector adapters and test program to your harness, so the quotation covers the complete test station rather than just the instrument.

Key features

  • Choose 128, 256 or 512 points around the harness you actually test, with adapters and fixtures identified in the quote so a low instrument price does not hide the cost of a working station.
  • Custom pin names and PC circuit-table editing help technicians relate a failed connection to the connector drawing instead of translating anonymous point numbers by hand.
  • Conventional, single-ended and mixed testing support different assembly stages on one configured station.
  • Program storage, test statistics and printing support make repeat orders easier to set up and document; printer hardware and software are specified with the configuration.
  • PASS/FAIL relay outputs and failure lockout provide a basis for connecting the tester to a fixture or marking process after the interface is reviewed.

What it processes

  • Continuity and wiring-map inspection of automotive and industrial harnesses
  • Single-ended wire assemblies and mixed harness test sequences
  • Harness assembly benches needing a configured fixture and test program

Quote the whole test station

A tester is useful only when the harness can be connected reliably and a failure points the operator to the right circuit. Send your netlist and mating connectors with known-good and deliberately faulty samples. We set up the test and run it on video, checking opens, shorts and swapped connections against the agreed fault list.

The instrument, point-count configuration, adapters, fixture, printer and software requirements are listed on the quote. The pictured cables, adapter boards and probe are configuration examples; they are not all automatically included.

Match the electrical checks to the drawing

This is a low-voltage continuity and wiring-error station. The 10 V specification is not a high-voltage withstand rating, and it does not establish four-wire milliohm measurement. Use our wire harness tester selection guide to define the required tests before selecting the hardware.

Cycle time depends on the number of points, the program and fixture handling. We measure the complete trial cycle rather than turn a menu speed setting into an unsupported hourly output. We ship the English interface and manual; the power-supply configuration is confirmed on the quote.

WM-833 — common questions

Does this tester perform insulation resistance or hipot testing?

This configuration specifies a 10 V test voltage. It must not be selected as a high-voltage insulation or hipot tester. Compare WM-814 for its stated insulation-test functions, or send the voltage and acceptance requirements for a matched test system.

Can I buy 128 points now and upgrade to 512 later?

The range is available in 128-, 256- and 512-point configurations. Field expansion, required boards and software must be confirmed on the quote; the available configurations do not by themselves prove that every delivered unit can be upgraded.

Are a printer, barcode scanner and voice prompts included?

Printing support is specified. Printer hardware, barcode scanner integration and voice functions must be confirmed for the quoted build. We list the included accessories and any optional integration before you order.

Why does the photograph show 512?

The photographed unit is the 512-point configuration. The point count and connector arrangement of the supplied instrument follow the configuration on your quote.

How do you establish the number of test points and fixture price?

Send the connector pinouts, mating connector details, netlist, any diodes or components, and a sample harness. We map every accessible node and list the instrument, connector adapters, test leads and fixture separately.

Can this replace mechanical crimp inspection?

No. Electrical continuity does not measure crimp strength or geometry. Use appropriate pull testing and crimp inspection equipment alongside the electrical test.
