Spiral Cutting Machine for Plastic Pipes with Pneumatic Cut-Off and Meter Counter WM-571
The WM-571 turns flexible plastic pipe into continuous spiral-cut product — the helical wrapping band used to bundle cable looms and protect hose. Twin 60 mm traction belts on double 0.55 kW direct-coupled motors pull the pipe through at 0.5 to 20 m/min while a 0.75 kW rotary head carries the blade around it in a continuous helix; both drives run on variable-frequency control, so the spiral pitch follows from the speed ratio. A pneumatic cutter with an automatic meter counter parts off finished coils at set meterage. Power is 3-phase 380 V, 50 Hz.

What exactly does spiral cutting produce?
The blade travels around the moving pipe in a continuous helix, so the pipe becomes an open spiral band — the familiar spiral wrap that winds around a cable bundle yet lets single wires branch out anywhere along the run. Coils are then parted off at the meterage set on the counter.
How do I change the spiral pitch?
Pitch is the ratio between traction speed and cutter-head rotation. Both are on variable-frequency controls — raise the traction speed for a longer pitch, slow it for a tighter one, from 0.5 to 20 m/min. It is a dial adjustment made while the line runs, not a tooling change.
What is the WM-571 not designed to do?
Cutting tube into separate rings or measured straight pieces — that is cut-to-length work for the blade cutters in the tube and pipe cutting category. It is built for soft plastic pipe only, so metal pipe and rigid conduit are outside its range.
