Automatic Ultrasonic Tape Folding and Cutting Machine WM-614
Our WM-614 cuts, folds and ultrasonically bonds tape and webbing to make folded tabs and loops without a separate sewing step. It takes material 1–70 mm wide and 0.1–4 mm thick, subject to the material. The specified rate is 40–50 cuts per minute at a folded length of 20 mm.

| Electrical configuration | We configure the machine’s electrical supply for your installation before shipment. Your quote confirms the voltage, phase, frequency, current and the power cord with plug or industrial connection for your site. Common site supplies are 120 V, 60 Hz with grounded Type B outlets in the US and Canada, with 208 V or 240 V also found at industrial sites. The UK and Ireland use 230 V, 50 Hz with Type G. Australia and New Zealand use nominal 230 V, 50 Hz with Type I, and some Australian sites list 240 V. Three-phase installations in the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand commonly use 400 V at 50 Hz, with 415 V at some Australian sites. |

Key features
- Combine cutting, folding and bonding in one machine so folded tabs come off ready for the next assembly step.
- Bond the fold ultrasonically and save a separate sewing step on suitable material.
- Run multiple strips side by side when the material and tooling allow it. We confirm the lane count on the quote.
- Check your own tape on video before ordering. We show the fold, cut edge and bonded joint on your sample.
- We set the voltage for your country and ship the English interface and manual.
What it processes
- Folded tape tabs and loops for sports footwear and luggage
- Folded labels and elastic trims for garment assembly
- Repeat batches of folded webbing, printed tape or hook-and-loop
The WM-614 is for repeated orders where the same cut, fold and bonded joint need to carry through from sample approval to assembly. The video above shows the folding and cutting head in operation and the finished loops.
Send your material, width, thickness, target folded length, joint drawing and batch size. We run your sample on video and show the fold and bond before you order. If you only need straight ultrasonic cuts without folding, see our WM-574 webbing cutter. To get a WM-614 quote, tell us the material and its approximate width or outside diameter. If you know the target cut length, include it so we can check the setup.

WM-614 — common questions
What materials can we run?
The specification lists nylon, polypropylene, cotton, polyester and spandex, including printed tape, elastic, hook-and-loop and velvet tape. The blend, coating and stretch affect the bond. Send your actual roll so we can confirm the settings and show the joint on video.
Is 40–50 cuts per minute the rate for every fold length?
That rate is specified at a folded length of 20 mm. Send the required fold dimensions, material and target batch size. We time the trial and confirm the production rate on the quote.
When does automatic folding make sense for our batch size?
It makes sense when you repeatedly need thousands of identical folded pieces or when the separate sewing step limits output. For a few hundred cut-only pieces, a hand cutter and length stop can be enough. For a short run that still needs a bonded fold, send the sample and expected order volume so we can check the process.
What if we only need to cut webbing to length?
For ultrasonic cut-to-length work up to 80 mm wide, see our WM-574 rope and webbing cutter.
What utilities and spare parts should we plan for?
The electrical specification is single-phase 220 V ±5%, 50 Hz, 15 A. Compressed air is specified at ≥0.6 MPa and 80 L/min. We set the voltage for your country and ship the English interface and manual. For wear parts, every quote lists them with unit price and the location they ship from.
