Automatic Wire Crimping and Connector Housing Insertion Machine for 16–28 AWG WM-373
The WM-373 takes wire from the reel to a finished connector assembly in one automated pass. It cuts leads from 40 to 3,000 mm, strips both ends, crimps terminals with 1.5 kN of force and inserts them into housings up to 3 rows of 16 positions, handling 16–28 AWG wire in up to 20 colors at rates up to 1,200 pins per hour. Insertion pull-force testing and missing-part detection support in-process inspection; crimp force monitoring is optional. We confirm the installed detection package and rejection criteria on the quote. Power draw is 3.6 kW at 220/110 V.

Key features
- Cutting, stripping, crimping and housing insertion in one machine — one operator loads wire and unloads finished connector assemblies
- Insertion pull-force testing and missing wire, terminal or connector detection support rejection of failed parts; optional crimp force monitoring is specified in the agreed detection package
- Covers multi-position housings up to 3 rows of 16 holes and wire programs with up to 20 colors for complex appliance harnesses
- Grows into a full line — cable prefeeder, transfer belt, CFM and CCD vision tester are available as options
What it processes
- Appliance and consumer-electronics harnesses with multi-position housings, AWG 16–28
- Automotive interior, lighting and small-motor harness pre-assembly
- Harness factories replacing manual housing-insertion benches with in-line automation
Suited for: appliance, automotive-interior and electronics harnesses where crimped wires must arrive inside multi-position housings — 16–28 AWG, housings up to 3 rows × 16 positions, lead lengths 40–3,000 mm, wire programs up to 20 colors. Not suited for: power cable above AWG 16 or lug terminals — for those, pick the WM-3135T servo lug crimping machine, the dedicated press for power-cable lugs up to 120 mm² — or bare cut-and-strip work, which the wire cutting and stripping machines category covers faster and cheaper.
Housing feeding and insertion tooling are built around your connector, so qualification runs on your real parts: send 2–3 meters of your wire together with your terminals and housings, and we run them on this machine on video before you commit.

WM-373 — common questions
What housing sizes and pin counts does the WM-373 cover?
Housings from 5 × 6 × 3 mm up to 40 × 25 × 25 mm, in a single row of up to 16 holes and up to 3 rows — larger or unusual housings can be quoted as a customization. The vibratory bowl and insertion tooling are matched to your specific connector, so send a drawing or samples for confirmation.
How does the machine keep defective assemblies out of my shipment?
The inspection functions include insertion pull-force measurement and detection of missing or knotted wire, missing terminals and missing connectors. Crimp force monitoring is optional. We confirm the installed functions, rejection limits and reject-rate alarm/stop settings with your acceptance plan; automated checks do not replace finished-assembly verification.
What is the WM-373 not designed to do?
It is not a machine for thick cable — the range ends at AWG 16 — and it is oversized for plain cut-and-strip work with no termination; the wire cutting and stripping machines category covers that job at lower cost. Housings outside the 40 × 25 × 25 mm envelope need a custom evaluation first.
