Double-Sided Heat-Shrink Conveyor Tunnel, 650 mm Belt, 260 °C WM-678
The WM-678 is a mesh-belt heat-shrink tunnel: pre-positioned sleeves ride through a heated hood on a belt under 650 mm wide, with a heating width below 120 mm and a temperature range below 260 °C from above and below, so a batch of splices shrinks evenly without an operator holding a gun. The frame is 1,800 × 860 × 1,070 mm, heating power under 4 kW, noise under 53 dB, for wire below Ø25 mm and sleeves below 120 mm long. Three temperature-control grades are built on the same frame.

Key features
- Continuous mesh belt through a heated hood — lay the harness on, take it off shrunk; no clip, no lid, no gun in anyone's hand
- Heat from above and below the belt, so the underside of the sleeve shrinks with the top and does not need turning
- Conveying width below 650 mm and heating width below 120 mm, for sleeves shorter than 120 mm; check the harness layout against the heated zone
- Thermostat-controlled below 260 °C with a ± 5 °C standard grade, and ± 6 °C or ± 3 °C grades on the same frame for looser or tighter process windows
- Under 53 dB and under 4.5 kW total; 1,800 mm frame with cooling fans on the hood — plan the line space before it arrives

Suited for: the same heat-shrink splice fed through a tunnel on a belt, sleeve length <120 mm, wire <Ø25 mm. Not suited for: clamped batches under a lid — WM-679. A smaller double-sided belt — WM-670PH. A hand gun for odd sleeves and long sections — WM-677.

WM-678 — common questions
Is this a clamshell lid?
No. The lid oven is the WM-679. This machine is a belt through a tunnel — you load continuously instead of in clamped batches.
How is this different from the WM-670PH?
WM-670PH is 1,200 × 480 × 580 mm with a 630 × 180 × 80 mm heat space, 3.6 kW, 50 kg. This frame is 1,800 × 860 × 1,070 mm with a 650 mm belt and a 120 mm heat zone, under 4.5 kW. Same idea, a size up for wider harnesses.
Which temperature-control grade do I get?
The standard build holds ± 5 °C. A ± 6 °C grade and a ± 3 °C grade are built on the same frame for shops whose sleeve specification is looser or tighter. Tell us the tolerance your process sheet requires and we quote the matching grade.
Will it shrink adhesive-lined tubing evenly?
Heating from both sides supports even heat application, with a specified working temperature below 260 °C. Suitability for your adhesive-lined sleeve depends on its required recovery temperature, wall thickness and dwell time at the selected belt speed. Send the sleeve and a splice sample and we run it on video before you order.
A long harness that will not fit in 120 mm of heat zone?
Sleeves longer than 120 mm are outside this hood. The WM-680 keeps the harness flat while a heater travels over sections up to 1,000 mm long. For irregular work, keep the WM-677.
