MI Cable Straightening Machine for Mineral Insulated and Armoured Cable WM-9320
The WM-9320 is a benchtop roller straightener for MI (mineral insulated) and armoured cable — the first operation on coiled metal-sheathed cable, before it can be cut, stripped or terminated. Thirteen grooved rollers (6 upper, 7 lower) work the coil memory out of the sheath, driven by a 750 W motor on 220 V / 50 Hz at a 1:15 speed ratio. The front-panel window is graduated 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.2, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10 so the roller setting is read off the scale, and the panel selector runs the rollers forward or in reverse.

Key features
- Thirteen grooved rollers in two staggered rows (6 above, 7 below) bend the cable alternately in opposite directions until the coil set is worked out and the run comes off straight
- Graduated front window shows the roller stack and the size setting together — changeover between cable sizes is a hand adjustment on the scale, not a tool change

Suited for: coiled MI (mineral insulated) and metal-sheathed armoured cable that has to be straightened before it is cut, stripped, glanded or terminated — the front-end station of a rigid-cable prefabrication bench. Not suited for: flexible stranded power cable, which does not need a roller straightener at all — for cutting and stripping that kind of cable in the 10–150 mm² range, the WM-1450 thick cable cutting and stripping machine is the machine to look at. WM-9320 — common questions
What cable sizes does the WM-9320 take?
The roller scale on the front panel is graduated 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.2, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10, and the specification lists exactly those figures without a unit; the applicable unit is confirmed on the quote. Send us your cable's outer diameter and conductor size and we will check them against the actual roller set before you order, or send a 2–3 m sample and we will run it and film the result.
Why does MI cable have to be straightened before it is cut or stripped?
Mineral insulated cable ships in coils and its copper or stainless sheath holds the bend — the coil set does not relax on its own. A cable that arrives at a cutting or stripping head with a bow in it feeds crooked, sits badly in the clamps and gives inconsistent strip length. Straightening is the front-end operation that makes every step after it repeatable.
Does it cut the cable or measure length?
No. The WM-9320 straightens only — there is no length counter and no blade. It runs the cable through the roller train forward or in reverse and hands a straight length to whatever comes next on the bench.
What power supply does it need?
220 V, 50 Hz single phase, 750 W rated, through a standard IEC inlet on the rear panel. There is no dual-voltage option on the machine, so a 110 V shop needs a step-up transformer — tell us your supply in the inquiry and we will quote the transformer with the machine.
Can the rollers be changed for a cable that is not on the scale?
Roller sets are the part that decides what the machine can hold, so a special size is a tooling question rather than a machine question. Send the cable specification with your inquiry — if it falls outside this roller set we will tell you plainly, and quote a straightener built around your size rather than sell you the wrong grooves.
