Walking Infrared Heat-Shrink Heater, 260 × 180 mm Zone, 12 Lamps WM-681
The WM-681 carries a twelve-lamp infrared heater over a fixed row of harness sections, heats a zone up to 260 × 180 mm, then returns the heater to its origin automatically. Travel speed adjusts from 0–100 mm/s and the heater reaches up to 260 °C, giving the operator a timed batch cycle without holding a heat gun or moving the loaded wires.

Key features
- Load a row in the comb fixtures and press start; the heater travels to the work, runs the timed cycle and returns to origin without moving the harness
- Twelve 300 W infrared lamps cover a zone up to 260 × 180 mm, shrinking multiple identical joints in one controlled batch
- Adjustable 0–100 mm/s travel and selectable lamp groups let us match the active width and heat exposure to the buyer's sample
- Manual and timed modes support setup and repeat production, while delayed fan cooling protects the heater after shutdown
- Overheat, overload, power-off and emergency-stop protection are built into the separate control box
What it processes
- Rows of connector boots, splice sleeves and terminal insulation sleeves
- Repeat batches that need the same sleeve position, temperature and dwell time
- Harness sections that fit within a 260 × 180 mm heating zone
Suited for: a repeat row of heat-shrink joints held in comb fixtures while the heater makes an automatic timed pass and returns.
Not suited for: a sleeve longer than the 180 mm heating zone — use the WM-680. For a clamshell batch with no walking stroke, use the WM-679; for continuous belt feeding, use the WM-678.
Send the wire, terminal and sleeve. We set the active lamp width, travel speed, temperature and dwell on the actual material and show the finished batch on video before you order.

WM-681 — common questions
How is this different from WM-679?
The WM-679 closes a clamshell over the whole batch. The WM-681 moves its heater through a 350 mm stroke and returns it to origin after the timed cycle. Both use twelve 300 W lamps and a heating zone up to 260 × 180 mm.
Does the operator move the wires during heating?
No. The wires stay aligned in the comb fixtures while the heater moves to the working position and returns after the cycle.
Which power figure should I use for the shop circuit?
The datasheet lists 4,000 W; the printed manual also states 4.5 kW output. Confirm the supplied build and circuit requirement before ordering.
What if my sleeve is much longer than 180 mm?
Use the WM-680 for heat-shrink sections up to 1,000 mm long. For continuous short pieces on a belt, use the WM-678.
What voltage, interface and wear parts arrive?
We set the voltage for your country and ship the English interface and manual. Every quote lists the wear parts with unit price and the location they ship from.
