Powered Loose-Coil Wire Pay-Off Machine with Induction Braking WM-9155

CE Certified Coil OD 100–650 mm

Get a quote for WM-9155 →

Our WM-9155 actively unwinds incoming wire coils to supply a downstream processing machine. A three-phase motor with reducer drives the pay-off, while guide pulleys and induction braking manage the material path and stop response. The specified coil outside diameter is 100–650 mm, with a 38–200 mm mounting bore. Load capacity is 150 kg in the datasheet and 15 kg in the detail illustration; confirm before ordering.

Key features

  • Give the downstream feeder a controlled supply: powered pay-off helps reduce the work of pulling material from an incoming coil. We test it with your downstream feed cycle and coil arrangement.
  • Keep the incoming material on a defined path: the coil basket, mounting posts and guide pulleys support the coil and route the wire toward the next machine. We check bore fit and bend requirements with your material.
  • Respond when demand stops: induction braking stops the supply when the cable becomes slack, helping limit continued payout after the downstream machine pauses.
  • Check the whole coil cycle before ordering: we run your material and send a video showing payout, starts and stops, and the transition from a full coil toward a lighter coil.
  • Prepare for installation: we confirm the motor supply for your country, ship the English manual and list the downstream interface requirements on the quote.

What it processes

  • Supplying loose wire coils to downstream cutting, stripping or other wire-processing equipment
  • Pay-off trials for round wire and flat cable coils with a compatible mounting bore
  • Production cells where incoming coil drag or overrun disrupts downstream feeding

A cutting machine can be set correctly and still struggle when the incoming coil drags, shifts or continues unwinding after a stop. Our WM-9155 powered wire pay-off machine addresses the supply step ahead of the processing head. It actively pays out material through a guided path, with induction braking responding to cable slack.

Matching a pay-off starts with the coil as it arrives at your workshop. Outside diameter, mounting bore, height and full weight affect how it fits and behaves; the downstream machine determines how quickly supply must start and stop. We review these together rather than choosing a feeder by motor power alone.

Send photos of the full coil, its dimensions and weight, plus the downstream machine and typical feed cycle. We demonstrate payout and stopping with your material, then confirm mounting, electrical supply and capacity on the quote.

WM-9155 — common questions

Does this machine cut, strip or make finished coils?

It pays out incoming material. The coil photographs show input materials, not finished products made by this unit. For cutting and end stripping, see our wire preparation equipment; for winding and tying, see our coiling equipment.

Is the maximum coil load 150 kg or 15 kg?

The datasheet states 150 kg, while the detail illustration states 15 kg. Confirm before ordering. We put the confirmed capacity for your configuration on the quote and check it against your full coil weight, outside diameter, bore and height.

What coil dimensions do we need to provide?

The specification lists 100–650 mm outside diameter, 38–200 mm center bore and 650 mm coil height. Send all three actual dimensions and the full coil weight. Loose coils and flanged reels require a mounting check even when their overall dimensions are similar.

What do 1450 and 2200 mean for line speed?

They are listed as rated and maximum rotational speed. The speed unit and the shaft to which they apply are confirmed on the quote. They are not stated wire speeds in m/min, and we do not use them to predict the output of your downstream cutter.

Will it synchronize with our existing machine?

We review the downstream machine, its start-stop cycle and the required material supply rate. Induction braking responds to cable slack; a matched trial establishes the feed path and stop response for the actual installation.

Can it feed flat cable as well as round wire?

The material examples include round-wire and flat-cable coils. We check the guide path, bending behavior and coil mounting on your sample before confirming a flat-cable application.

What electrical supply is required?

The drive uses a 1.5 kW three-phase motor with reducer. Incoming voltage, frequency and controller configuration are confirmed on the quote for your country; the motor description alone does not establish the required building supply.

How does it differ from WM-9152?

Our WM-9152 specifies 300–700 mm reels, 150 kg load and 70 m/min. WM-9155 has a 100–650 mm outside-diameter specification and a center-bore mounting arrangement. We compare coil geometry, load and downstream demand before selecting either unit.

How do we source replacement guide pulleys and wear parts?

For guide pulleys and other wear parts, every quote lists them with unit price and the location they ship from. We identify the replacements for your delivered configuration.
