Australia and New Zealand use nominal 230 V, 50 Hz with Type I, and some Australian sites list 240 V. Three-phase installations in the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand commonly use 400 V at 50 Hz, with 415 V at some Australian sites. |

Key features
- Prepare numbered, terminated leads in one workflow, reducing transfers between wire preparation, sleeve marking and crimping operations.
- Two synchronized preheating stations prepare the number sleeves for the U-type insertion sequence, supporting coordinated processing of both ends.
- One shared laser marks the sleeves for both wire ends, without ink or ribbon consumables for the marking step.
- Switch to single-end sleeve insertion when the other end needs to remain cut and unstripped.
- Choose the optional 2 T servo crimping unit for recipe storage, crimp force monitoring, stroke measurement and adjustable crimping height; we confirm the applicators against your terminals.
What it processes
- Numbered wire leads for electrical control cabinets and panel wiring
- Double-end crimped harness leads with identification sleeves, within 0.3–4 mm² and at least 280 mm long
- Single-end sleeved leads with an unstripped cut end for a later operation
Suited for: control-panel and harness production that needs cut-to-length wire, crimped terminals and readable identification sleeves at both ends. The U-type configuration handles 0.3–4 mm² wire with a minimum cut length of 280 mm.
Matching the terminal, sleeve and wire is essential: the sleeve must feed and position correctly, the marking must remain readable after heating, and the crimp must meet the requirements of the chosen terminal. We use your samples to demonstrate the complete sequence on camera before you order.
We offer an optional servo crimping unit. We list the selected tooling, monitoring functions and operating conditions in your quote. For other wire sizes, shorter leads or different terminal feeding methods, see our terminal crimping machines or custom wire-processing equipment.
Our images show two control-cabinet layouts; the video shows an enclosed configuration with camera inspection views. We confirm the control cabinet, guarding, inspection functions and tooling included in your quote. For a WM-3249 quote, share the connector or component part number and a photo of the assembly you need. We can start the configuration review from the finished part.

WM-3249 — common questions
What wire range and minimum length does this configuration cover?
This U-type configuration covers 0.3–4 mm² wire and a minimum cut length of 280 mm. Maximum cut length, strip lengths and sleeve dimensions are confirmed on the quote for your application.
What does the U-type layout do?
The U-type layout uses two sleeve insertion stations to process both ends in the machine sequence. Cutting, stripping, crimping, sleeve insertion, laser marking and heating are combined in the workflow. We confirm the tooling and sequence using your wire, terminal and sleeve samples.
Can it process just one sleeved end?
Yes. The specified single-end mode inserts a sleeve at one end and leaves the opposite end cut without stripping. Send your end drawing so we can confirm the required terminal and sleeve arrangement.
Is the 2 T servo crimping unit standard?
It is optional. This configuration includes crimp force monitoring, stroke measurement, recipe storage, automatic reset and adjustable crimping height. The servo unit accepts OTP applicators; the final tooling and options are listed in your quote.
Will every job reach 2000 pieces per hour?
The specified maximum is 2000 pieces per hour. Wire length, terminal type, sleeve fit, marking and heating requirements affect actual output. We run your samples on camera and confirm the production cycle for your job before ordering.
What should we send for a quote and sample trial?
Send the wire specification and cut length, terminal drawings or samples, sleeve material and dimensions, and the text required at each end. We confirm power, air supply and installation dimensions on the quote. We set the voltage for your country and ship the English interface and manual. For wear parts, every quote lists them with unit price and the location they ship from.
