Benchtop Cable Shield Brushing Machine with Forward and Reverse Rotation WM-821
The WM-821 is a 7.5 kg benchtop brushing machine that combs open the shield of screened wire — both wound (spiral-served) and braided shields — over brushing lengths up to 50 mm. Its twin rotating brush wheels run in forward or reverse so the direction always opens the shield instead of tightening it, with wheel speed set by dial to suit each wire. A clear safety guard with a positioning function covers the wheels, and the unit runs on a low-voltage 24 V DC drive from ordinary bench mains power.

Which shield types can the WM-821 brush open?
Both main constructions — braided mesh shields and wound (spiral-served) shields — on any shielded wire whose jacket has already been stripped back. The brushing length is set anywhere up to 50 mm, and the exposed shield is combed straight in one pass.
Why does it need forward and reverse rotation?
A shield has a lay direction. Brushing a spiral-served shield the wrong way winds it tighter onto the core; brushing with the lay unwraps it cleanly. Selectable rotation lets you match the wheel direction to each wire's shield construction, and the speed dial fine-tunes the action so strands are combed open without being torn off.
What if my brushing length is longer than 50 mm or my cable is heavy-gauge?
