Not suited for: a small tension-sensitive coaxial process — use the WM-9105C tension-free coax prefeeder — or corrugated tube and hose, which are covered by the WM-9120T. Reels heavier than 50 kg are also out of range: for mill spools of Φ600–1,250 mm carrying up to 1.5 t of heavy cable (Φ3–45 mm power, EV, charging pile, PV and BV cable), step up to the WM-9151 heavy-duty large cable prefeeder, which trades top speed (100 m/min) for load capacity. In the other direction, wire that arrives on a Ø20–30 cm flanged spool cannot spin on this machine’s flat turntable at all — mount it upright on the WM-9332 compact wire pre-feeder and dereeler stand, rated ≥15 kg, which also grips bare coils between its two flanges.
The brake is as important as the drive. When a downstream cutter stops, an uncontrolled reel can continue turning and create loose loops, tangles or inconsistent restart tension. The induction control and continuously variable drive are set together so the material buffer remains stable at the required production speed.
Pair the pay-off with a model from the wire cutting and stripping range only after the reel and line geometry are checked. A 50 kg load rating does not by itself confirm hub fit, outside diameter or safe deceleration; those values are verified using the buyer’s reel drawing or a representative loaded reel.

What reel load and speed can the WM-9150 handle?
The stated limits are a 50 kg reel load and a maximum line speed of 4 m/s. Reel outside diameter, width, hub bore and rotational inertia still need approval because equal-weight reels can behave differently during acceleration and braking.
How does it synchronize with the downstream machine?
An induction signal detects material demand and controls pay-off, while the brake limits overrun when the receiving process stops. The sensor position and buffer path are set during line integration.
Is this the right prefeeder for small coaxial cable?
It can supply general cable, but the WM-9105C is specifically designed for Ø0.6–5 mm coaxial cable with a dancer-controlled tension-free loop. Choose according to cable sensitivity, reel load and downstream cycle.
What information is required for a line proposal?
Provide reel weight and all reel dimensions, material OD and bend behavior, maximum and normal line speed, start-stop frequency, downstream machine layout, feed direction and available floor space. A loaded-line test confirms brake and sensor settings.
