Tension-Free Coaxial Cable Prefeeder for Ø0.6–5 mm Cable WM-9105C
The WM-9105C is a dancer-controlled, tension-free prefeeder for Ø0.6–5 mm coaxial cable ahead of intermittent cutting or stripping equipment. It feeds up to 2.5 m/s from reels up to 25 kg and combines two motors, sensing and straightening in one 830 × 550 × 950 mm unit.

Key features
- Builds a dancer loop between the reel and downstream process to isolate cable tension
- Uses sensor feedback to supply material as the cutting or stripping machine consumes it
- Covers small coaxial cable from 0.6 to 5 mm in diameter
- Integrates a straightener and two-motor feed arrangement in one mobile frame
- Supports reels up to 25 kg and line speed up to 2.5 m/s
What it processes
- Prefeeding small coaxial cable into automatic cut-and-strip equipment
- Tension isolation ahead of intermittent stripping or connector-preparation cycles
- RF and antenna cable production where feed drag can disturb length or strip consistency
- Mobile reel supply for a cell that changes cable batches during the day
Suited for: isolating the measuring or stripping machine from the pull of a 25 kg or lighter reel of Ø0.6–5 mm coaxial cable. Not suited for: a 50 kg general-purpose wire reel — use the WM-9150 variable-speed pay-off — or tube and hose supply, where the WM-9120T tube prefeeder is the relevant design.
The dancer is a process buffer, not just a guide pulley. It lets the prefeeder accelerate the reel while the downstream machine sees a smaller and more stable draw. That matters on intermittent coaxial operations, where a sudden reel pull can affect measured length, conductor position or a delicate multi-layer strip.
This unit does not replace the processing machine. Pair it with the required model in the coaxial cable processing range, then verify the two machines together at the fastest expected start-stop cycle. Reel dimensions, cable memory and the required path height are part of the acceptance setup.

WM-9105C — common questions
What does tension-free prefeeding mean?
The downstream machine draws from a controlled dancer loop instead of pulling directly against reel inertia. The sensor tells the prefeeder when to replenish the loop, reducing the load transmitted into the measuring and stripping process.
What reel and cable range does the WM-9105C cover?
It is specified for 0.6–5 mm coaxial cable, reels up to 25 kg and a maximum 2.5 m/s feed rate. Reel dimensions and hub geometry must still be checked before the shaft and retainers are finalized.
When should I choose WM-9150 instead?
Choose WM-9150 for general wire or cable reels up to 50 kg and line speed up to 4 m/s. WM-9105C is the smaller coaxial-specific choice when a dancer-controlled low-tension loop is the priority.
What data are needed to match it to my line?
Send cable OD and construction, reel weight and dimensions, maximum downstream speed, start-stop cycle, required loop height, line direction and a photo or drawing of the receiving machine. We verify the handoff and sensor response as a complete pair.
